Wildland Town went to scioto Downs for the wiener dog race. Was just hilarious. I've never been to a casino but donated $30. Casino was great all the staff everywhere helping you navigate where you need to go where excellent polite. Was actually able to stay for a couple harness races which I've never seen before.

Awesome facility and casino. They have semi parking off to the left in back. Spent 18 hours here playing the slots and only lost $80 in 8 hours of playing. At one time I was up $300 but kept playing. The machines are calibrated right and not too tight. Workers are super friendly and professional. I also ate lunch and dinner inside and it was excellent at a good price!!! I would definitely recommend coming here! I’ll be back that’s for sure.

I ended up not spending any money here. First off, no one was at any of the locations that I found to get a card or offer customer assistance. Secondly, I found the video a lot machines to be very confusing, so a customer service professional would have been helpful.The older men working the doors both pointed to where folks should be... maybe I just got lost. At the end of the day - harness racing had ended for the season and that was why we originally stopped, so my gain is my win I suppose.They do appear to have a rather large section blocked off for 2023 renovations.Maybe next year I can catch some harness racing.

Pretty run of the mill as far as casino experience goes. The real winner here was the Brew Brothers restaurant. Huge portions and the best service staff. Unique co*cktails and a huge selection of house brews. The Redhead Amber Ale was so tasty and paired extremely well with my "fish and chips". Two huge fried Cod filets and fries.

First time going there the security was funny and nice, the desk services people were friendly and helped tremendously. They have a smoking section which is a plus for me (yes I know smoking sucks) everything was clean. However the slots were a little tight for my liking I've seen looser slots at bars, maybe it just wasn't my night. I do plan on going back but going to wait until the races start back up.

There are at lest 5 bars with different themes. So many machines.great decor it's a must see

I wanted to try a new casino in the area being new to Ohio. The casino was not very lively at all. When we look around for non-alcoholic beverages to drink while playing, there was nothing available, nor were there staff around to assist us. When we finally found a complimentary fountain drink area, it was shut down. We tried most slots, and the payout for winning higher bets placed was lower than $1. For example, when betting a $10 hand, I won $0.50 cents for hitting. It was like this for many games. There are no card tables available and not much variety. I would recommend going to Hollywood casino for slots and card tables, as they have more attentive staff, a variety of games, food and beverages available at any time, and have higher payouts. Will not be returning.

We met Guy Fieri at his ribbon cutting ceremony for his new restaurant, Trattoria! The casino was clean and well maintained.

Came here for a work event. This place was awesome. I loved the horses and even placed a few bets. The casino was super nice and clean.Played a few slots but didn't win like usual. Had a good time and enjoyed the place. Will make sure to bring the wife next time and let her lose more money. We will have to try the food next time and hope they have some onion rings or pizza.

Only my second time ever at a casino and this one was very nice, plenty of machines and the wait staff were very tentative and frequently offered up their services.

Have to admit, El Dorado was amazing! Even up to the point where I hid my money from myself, and security literally let me know it was on the other side of my wallet... After they did a camera review 👀🤣 had a great time

Very nice small casino. Good selection of recent and classic slot machines but zero video poker. Non-smoking in main area but two outdoor terraces Very friendly staff. Beverage stand available in the back. It is a Caesar's property so you get rewards. Machines, especially in the high limit room seem tight.

I enjoyed this casino immensely! The staff was friendly, food is decent and atmosphere is serene outside. There is a smoking section, which is great, because I don’t smoke, but they can chill with the coconut air freshener inside it’s loud.I was able to RV park while I watched the races and gambled. It’s crazy because I was simply passing by on my way to NC.Jumped off the highway and began with the races…then went inside to the slots. The slots had an even balance.. I came out even from when I arrived and I gambled for 5 days. There was a live band on Friday night outside by the races.I met people, laughed with staff, talked to strangers, and moved on…It was a fun stop.My absolute favorite thing was the French fries…weird but true.Definitely recommend!!

Oddly enough in addition to gambling, I travel to this casino for their cheeseburgers. They have a small cafe inside the casino that serves tacos, pizza, and burgers. Definitely get yourself a burger. It's grilled to order, and they are juicy and delicious! The staff is always friendly, and they're always super busy because their food is so good!

For truck drivers ;They don't allow semi-trucks to park there anymore, but parking a bobtail is okay. There's a small truck stop across from the casino. You can walk there in about 3 minutes. It's our spot for some fun, offering a casino and food. They don't have tables, but they do have a variety of slot machines.

Whenever I go (which is sporadically at ant given day/time) , there has only been 1 of 3 co*cktail bar open, 1 of 3 or 4 eatery open and ZERO entertainment since covid. Grandstand is finally finished and open. It is nice stadium seating. They layout slightly changed and feels a bit awkward in my opinion.

Horrible gaming. Played several machines and had no enjoyment. Just complete donation. One of the worst experiences. Put thousands into the machines, no bonus play, no average return on investment. Ceasars property is a ripoff. Play the MGM you'll enjoy yourself!

I used to be a regular here. Embarrassed to say I was getting close to $200 a week in free play. One used to be able to come in, drink a few beers and play the slots for a bit. Maybe $200-$300 bucks. Since Ceasars took over, it's nothing but a dirty money pit. 8 bucks to use the ATM, $11 for 2 beers and the return to player went from 90% to low 70's. They can't get hardly anyone to work there and when they do, the people wisen up and quit. It sits on South High Street and "management" thinks it's the Vegas strip. I, myself, have literally broken up 2 fights and their joke security was nowhere to be found. Do yourself a favor and skip this dump. Hollywood isn't much better but it's definitely better than this hole.

I'm not a casino person, but my wife enjoys the adventure. The place is undergoing renovations, so it felt more closed off than maybe it generally feels. They do have a smoking patio with games, which my wife enjoyed. The one security guard was polite in answering some questions, and we did not speak or have interactions with other staff. Ended up leaving after a bit.

I have only been there twice. Won $ the first trip years ago. Three weeks ago, not so much. Still had $ in my pocket but spent more than I won. I'm looking forward to watching horse racing my next trip up. Go pull a one arm bandit and see if you are lucky. Enjoyed the live music. Nice restaurant and plenty of drinks for all.

We absolutely had a blast at COSI! We were trying to fit a lot in and definitely needed more time and we were there for 5 hours. My little girl was three at the time and we did have to pay for her. I am a teacher so I did get entry free which was so nice! If I wouldn't have checked out the counter and paid cash I never would have known that so I'm glad we didn't prepay.The activities were fun and engaging. There were so many sections that we couldn't really do with our girl because of her age so we are looking forward to going back multiple times as she's growing. The tot area was okay for her. She is almost four so she was a little bored up there. She really enjoyed the house area.We really loved multiple areas where my husband and I could have stayed there for hours playing! I love that they had an interactive space where they could make parachutes and test them out! We really had fun in that area as well. I could go on and on... So much fun exploring science!

Such a cool place, I've been coming here since I was little and loved it so now I can take my 2 year old and share that experience with him. It's evolved a lot over the years and there are a lot of new exhibits that are on a rotation so depending on when you go you can find new and exciting things. For us our son loves the gadgets area and progress and of course the kids play area. We can all have some fun, learn some things and he's tuckered out by the end of it all. Definitely check this place out whether you have a kid or not it's a cool place. They also have a COSI after dark with different themes and adult beverages if that's your thing. Either way, enjoy!

The price was quite a bit of sticker shock, especially the random Columbus arts and culture fee 🙄.. but seeing how the kids reacted to everything, even how the adults in my group had fun with them was pretty awesome. We passed on the additional cost attractions so I can't comment on those ... Except the marvel exhibit. That alone is worth the whole trip for me, it's a FANTASTIC exhibit and I highly recommend it for adults and children alike.Staff was friendly and helpful. Atomic cafe food was excellent. Whole museum was clean and well organized. If it was closer to me I would even consider the membership program they offer.

This museum was so much fun! Went with some friends and we had the most amazing time. So many interactive exhibits and many learning points. The King Tut exhibit was one of the coolest things I've done ever and the artifacts blew me Away. I highly recommend locals and those traveling check this place out. Planetarium comes with admission! I believe adult tickets were $25 at the time so definitely reasonably priced for all the magic you're getting. 3 floors of science and exploration? I will be for sure coming back with my daughter.

So much to look at! You can easily spend a few hours here.If you go on a Saturday try to get there right as they open to avoid it being crowded the entire time you’re there. They have a great kid space upstairs that is spacious and they have a nice water area.

A really fun museum. We enjoyed the rat basketball a lot. The dinosaur exhibit is pretty good and so are the interactive space displays. Can't say anything about the planetarium because they cancelled the last two shows for the day. I never found out why. The small town of Progress was exceptionally enjoyable. The food at the cafeteria was surprisingly good. Very good infact. Prices did seem excessively high though

Beautiful science center and fun for kids all ages. My toddler loves the kiddie area and the dinosaurs and my other older children enjoyed the rest! Will definitely return!

Really great place for both parents and kids!! Very interesting, and they had tons of fun hands-on stuff for all ages to enjoy!!😁 The only thing that was a little disappointing was the planetarium show, which was not very entertaining for the kids and was more about Egyptian mythology about the stars than our solar system. We said that we should have skipped the planetarium show.😕

Visited COSI on 10-14-23 with three adults and five kids. The total price for the entire day, which included parking, entrance, and food, cost approximately $410.We've been coming off and on for some odd years, and while we have always really enjoyed it as a family, it gets harder to justify the astronomical price, comparatively to other things.Many exhibits are the same as they've been, with little to no change whatsoever, in the last decade.The cafeteria can hardly maintain the influx outside of very early morning hours. Prices for food are extremely high (higher than amusem*nt parks, football games, or other comparative places pricing), and this particular time, the special exhibit (Barbie) was incredibly underwhelming.While the kids had an incredible time, and we adults too, and enjoy what COSI has to offer, as a returning and paying visitor, it's in need of a total face-lift in regards to maintenance; and just in general.If you've never been, it is highly recommended as it's a unique and incredible place to experience. Adults and children alike can explore and be immersed into a world of science and exploration, but it has little to no return value outside of special exhibits.

We went to see the Titanic exhibit and ended up having a lot of fun in the rest of the museum as well. Most of the museum is very hands on and seems like it’s built for kids, but you’ll see tons of adults playing around with everything too.The titanic exhibit was so cool. There are tons of artifacts actually recovered from the wreckage, replicas of first and third class rooms and the grand staircase, information about passengers, and you’ll be given a “boarding pass” with information about a real passenger from the ship. At the end, you can scan the ticket to discover the fate of your person.We liked the hands on activities and also really enjoyed the area that looked like a little mini street in an old town. I don’t remember what the section was called, but it had little stores and a news station from different times and was very interactive.We paid $45 for both regular entry and the titanic exhibit combined. So for $45, you can see literally everything in the building. We bought the timed titanic exhibit tickets in advance just in case. It was fairly crowded in there, so probably good that we bought our tickets the night before.

I love this place, but I wish it had more hands on things for the younger kids to do. We went for the Marvel attraction. It was cool, but definitely for teens and adults. They did have the costumes from the movies on display. We went on a Saturday so it was very, very busy, but that was expected. My only complaint is about the rude adults that do not try to control their children, or know how to act in public themselves.

Very cool place with so much to see, for the very young to adults. Grab a map and wander around. I found myself having to stop the kids from just running up to an exhibit and touching everything and if it didn’t “do” anything, they’d run to the next thing- there is a lot of reading involved before you can do the actual activity. So, I had to call them back, read the instructions to them, then it was actually a cool thing to do. My kids were ages 8-12. They just wanted to physically do everything without really knowing what they were supposed to be learning about. So, adults, keep up and get engaged along with them so they know how to complete the activities and maybe learn something from them. The Marvel exhibit is cool, but I’m not a fan of the extra charge to see it. The outdoor courtyard stuff is fun and there’s a playground out front of the building too. There’s a cafe and gift shop. So much to do and see, could be an all day thing if you want to get your money’s worth.

My family had a blast at Cosi! Love the teacher discount and the reciprocal memberships to other museums. My oldest loved the king Tut exhibit and my youngest loved the dinosaur exhibit. The kids play area is great and the outside play ground is so fun. So much to do we never see it all in one visit. I always recommend this place to anyone coming to Columbus.

COSI is committed to recycling, protecting and preserving nature, and maximizing fun when educating kids. We have a membership and go there often (it's paid for itself on a few visits already!). There are little things about this place that can make it interesting if the big displays don't catch your attention, like the sun dial in the outdoor eating area of the café. There are a variety of farm animals and an activity tent available for their Farm Days now, so go pet some docile creatures and learn how to support local farmers.

Huge muesum with lots of exhibits to see. Spent about 3 1/2 hours just to find out I didn't get to see the ocean stuff, kinda bummed. I bought tickets for the Motion Simulator ride and it was pretty awesome. My favorite was the King Tutankhamun exhibition. Pretty amazing story and beautiful replica of his tomb. Let's not forget the planetarium. So beautiful, calm and relaxing. Durring our presentation, we got a little history about how the Egyptians used the stars and sun for many things.

My husband and I came to COSI specifically to see the Titanic exhibit, which was amazing and well worth the admission cost! Definitely purchase your timed ticket in advance to guarantee a time slot because it fills up fast. We didn't realize the day we visited there would also be a science fair/festival so it was extra crowded. Figuring out where to check in with tickets purchased online was a bit confusing. However, staff were very accessible to answer questions. I was excited to see a show at the planetarium, but ended up being disappointed. The program was slow and inconsistent. People kept coming in and leaving, which was disruptive. There needs to be a staff person outside the planetarium doors to monitor so once a show starts, no one can enter. The dinosaur exhibit was also neat. I definitely want to go back on a less busy day and bring the kids to explore everything else.

I was able to experience the Titanic exhibit this past weekend while attending an event at Cosi.We were given boarding tickets at the beginning and were able to see if we survived at the end of the exhibition.Being able to see some of the artifacts from the ship and passengers was a memorable experience.I would definitely recommend seeing this exhibit before it's gone!

Went here on a spontaneous trip and it was absolutely wonderful. Easily spent 3 and half hours attending all exhibits. Dinosaur exhibit and the planetarium show were hands down my favorite spots.

My family went to enjoy the Titanic Exhibition. The place was insanely busy. Overall, the exhibition was incredible and we spent several hours exploring the rest of Cosi. Definitely a fun way to spend an afternoon with kids.

Went for "Prom Night". I was excited to go on an "all adult" night, as you could actually sample the place at a leisurely pace. The Titanic exhibit was great, as was the dinosaur exhibit. The rest of COSI is showing it's age and lack of attention. A good deal of the interactive exhibits either malfunctioned, or didn't work at all. They had (alcoholic) beverages, but the were insanely overpriced ($11.00 for for an 8 oz. Vodka Cranberry). The photos taken at the Titanic exhibit were pricey as well, especially since they were of poor quality.

Wonderful place to spend the day. Plan for the long haul there is so much to see it’s worth return trips. So many fun activities for the kids. Spend some time in the store and grab a kit. If you’re hungry the cafe was great! The trip back in time through progress was incredible.

Cosi simply is one of the best science museums in the nation (having visited most of the popular ones around big cities) ; the building is well thought of and the space is perfect for accommodating amazing collections of science and nature exhibits. Several areas have rotating exhibits that keeps it fun.Various events keeps us coming from dinosaurs tales, to rats basketball, construction displays with real bulldozers, to adults only night at the museum!!The kids play area is one of the best and most comprehensive I’ve seen (at par with children museums) with well maintained and cleaned items.Membership includes reciprocity entrance to most science museums nationwide.Parking is easy.

A great place to spend some time and learn about various things from science to history. Great for kids and adults alike. Wish I had better timing to see the Titanic Exhibit though.

We had a blast here, and stayed the whole day. We definitely could’ve spent two days here. We came with a group of 4 adults and 7 kids, aged teenager to toddler. Everybody had a great time, and we are considering getting a membership, even though we live about 3 hours away. In my opinion (and my kids’), this was better than the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. It was much more interactive and hands-on. I recommend buying tickets online, because they’re $5 cheaper online. I also recommend closed toed shoes if you want to ride the tightrope unicycle.The toddler loved the little kids’ area, and could’ve spent the whole day there, but also found plenty to do in the other exhibits. The kids loved the “Progeess” exhibit, which showed businesses and storefronts from bygone eras. They played in the 50s-style diner, sat in a phone booth, and pretended to take pictures with an old fashioned camera.We all enjoyed the water play area, with a vortex, exhibits on erosion, and an aqueduct-construction station. It was otherworldly and ethereal, with sparkly floors, dim, colorful lighting, and stone surroundings. It felt like we were stepping into an underwater palace. There was also a submarine floating in water that the kids loved going into.We liked the Power/Electricity exhibit, where you learned about responsible electric and fuel consumption, and the kids got to do driving simulators, ride a bike to “race” a car, and crank a wheel to power lightbulbs.The body exhibit was really cool, with lots of information and optical/mental illusions. It was a good mix of biology and psychology, plus physical activity.We also had a blast riding the unicycle- I’d recommend doing this right as it opens at 11 to beat the lines! We also liked the outdoor area where you can use a lever to lift a car!We bought coffee at the coffee shop, food at the cafe, and Dippin Dots at the ice cream parlor. It was priced exorbitantly, as you would expect from a museum, but it was all good and fresh, and sizably portioned. We also brought food from home, and we could’ve eaten in the Group Lunch room, but we opted to go outside to Dorrian Greens and play in the sunshine there.Overall, we were impressed with the facilities- plenty of clean bathrooms, water fountains, and lots of elevators/stairs. Everything was well-kept. In the outer space exhibit, some astronaut gloves broke, and workers came and replaced them almost immediately.If you like children’s museums, I would definitely recommend this one!

What an amazing resource for the community. Such an incredible experience. There are so many interactive exhibits to spark curiosity in both the young and young at heart. Just the history behind the museum is exceptionally enriching. COSI has been on my list since the sixth-grade. Today was the day. The planetarium was awesome.😃 The glass elevator was a crowd pleaser. The energy, the ocean, & the recycling ♻️ information are definitely something we can all learn from. Wow! What an amazing science center! We were first timers from out of town and we had the best time!It was crazy busy due to spring break, but once the initial entry rush was passed, there were only a couple exhibits that were too packed to really experience and that’s saying something since we were there for about 6 hours.We all had fun, but the younger kids were kinda done before our oldest, so I’d recommend more for ages 6+, although they do have a little-kid only space. Our littles just didn’t want to spend that much time there.Highly recommend the Electricity Show and Rat Basketball! Other favorite exhibits included the Gadgets and Dinosaurs.

The planetarium was nice but only the eclipse was available because of the upcoming one. There was an unruly child kept kicking the back of the seat parent couldn't keep him respectful. The place is large a lot too do and see.

One of my favorite science centers. I have been here roughly fifteen times throughout my life and each time I have enjoyed it. Three floors packed with exhibits to see and learn from. Something for every age found here, especially if visiting with littles who would benefit from the third floor kid room specific for all under first grade. This was the first trip my kids were too old to go in but we always enjoyed the time spent here at Cosi, definitely recommend a stop!

While the Center of Science and Industry museum has some interesting exhibits, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The exhibits seemed outdated, and there weren't enough interactive activities to keep visitors engaged. Additionally, the ticket prices felt too high for what was offered. Overall, it's an okay place to spend a few hours, but don't expect to be wowed.The Titanic Exhibit was an additional $42 per person after paying the $35 entry fee and with parking and any food and trinkets !! Not sure how these places expect to go broke!

Cosi in Columbus, Ohio is a fantastic destination for a family day trip. With a variety of exhibits and activities for children of all ages, there is something for everyone to enjoy. From the interactive Kids Place to the fascinating natural history museum, there is no shortage of things to see and do at Cosi.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the exhibits are well-maintained and engaging. The hands-on nature of many of the exhibits makes learning fun for kids, and they will be entertained for hours exploring all that Cosi has to offer.Overall, I highly recommend Cosi for families looking for a fun and educational day out. With so much to see and do, this is definitely a must-see destination in Columbus. Five stars!

Went with family to visit for the first time. Lots to see and do here for kids and adults alike. Interactive exhibits and neat displays to try out. Prices were reasonable, and it wasn't too busy to wait and try things out. Would go back again!

The Titanic exhibit in June 2024 was pretty amazing. They had all of these artifacts recovered from the wreck on display, along with replicas of certain parts of the ship’s interior like the suites, hallways, grand staircases, etc. They also had this nice little gimmick where they would give you a passenger’s boarding pass with that passenger’s name and background as to why they were on the Titanic, and you could scan the pass to find out if they survived or not (a little morbid, true, but fun nonetheless)

Great for all ages! The fall/ pumpkin display is fabulous! The color throughout the gardens is amazing. The fall colors are brilliant and the pumpkin's add the perfect touch as they are tucked into displays everywhere! Truly a beautiful walk in the middle of the day. There is handicap parking and the gardens are handicap accessible.

This is truly a Columbus gem! There is so much packed into this building, but by following the free, numbered map they provide at check-in, you should be able to see everything and experience each room or “climate” within two hours. They have such a great diversity of plants and flowers! This is a kid-friendly place, just be respectful of those who are there without kids looking to have a quieter experience. There is a small section along the self-guided tour where parents can stop and rest while kids play around with the kid-friendly, touchable exhibit. There are also plenty of places to sit throughout the entire building. The staff is very friendly and kind, especially in the gift shop. This place is so beautiful that I wish I could’ve been married here! My husband and I visited on the weekday (on a Wednesday specifically) so it was quieter and we didn’t have a wait. I do recommend buying your tickets online in advance. And if you have a Dawes Arboretum membership, you might get a small discount on tickets! That’s not guaranteed, so be sure to check before buying.

This is the place to go if you want to walk around in the winter but stay warm while feeling like you are getting out. The blend of inside with outdoor features is amazing. You can always check out their website for updates, projects and events going on in there. I'd recommend buying an annual membership. It pays for itself in a few visits. I'd recommend you go at a minimum once a season. There's something big each season plus lots of events throughout the year. Summer, you have the whole train feature going on outside which is huge by the way. Winter, they have the Christmas lights everywhere. Night time they light up the glass features year round but they change them out through the seasons. Daytime, you have the children's park summer has the outdoor water areas I'm the kids playground. Inside there is the butterfly exhibit, There are several temperate zones, glass displays, tons of amazing photo opportunities everywhere. Go to the website and just scroll.

A fairly large park with lots to see. I would say 90 minutes would be good for those with fairly average walking pace, two hours for a slower pace. Good amount of indoor and outdoor attractions. There’s food inside if you happen to find yourself hungry. Accessible by bus but no easy pedestrian path from sidewalk level to the park. Lots of kids doing summer activities but they aren’t really in the park grounds but in rooms in the main building. Refreshing and beautiful natural sights to see. The brochures they give smell so bad though. Restrooms are clean. Bring a hat when visiting during summer because it’s so hot!

Fantastic botanical garden. Very family friendly now with a large outdoor children's garden with exploration and water features. Desert, jungle, palm house, hot house for glass blowing demonstrations, large outdoor train to open in the summer. Free parking, small Cafe and gift store. Wheelchair accessible in many areas.

We had some time to burn before an event so we decided to check out this place. I did not expect to stay there for an hour and a half! There were so many gorgeous plants/trees. My favorite things were the bonsai trees and the railway outside with various carved wooden houses. Each area had a theme like animal, fairy tale, European, and wild west and the craftsmanship was phenomenal. The glass work throughout was a nice added touch as well.

Lovely place for an afternoon walk and a chance to enjoy nature. The topiary section is really well done and although the bonsai section is a bit small, the trees are very well maintained. The miniature train exhibit that is currently hosted at the gardens is really worth ehile seeing. Very well done.

My wife and I had a good time here! Admission is a little pricey and could be less for what we saw. However, it was fun seeing all of the plants/flowers and they were all taken care of extremely well.

This place is beautiful. We had to plan our first visit well because the first time we tried to go here, it was on the first Sunday of the month when it's free for county residents. We highly recommend not going then because you won't find a parking spot and it's stupid crowded. Instead, we went the day before and we nearly had the place to ourselves. The building has lots of history and we found out the fiddle leaf fig they have here is at least 100 years old and the largest fiddle leaf fig indoors in the United States. I would like to go back for other events and even though we don't live in Columbus, I would consider getting a pass here. They have a lot for little kids and our daughter (2) loved it.

Gorgeous!!!!! If you're a Columbus resident, you can get free tickets through the library! Otherwise, I think the entrance fee is well worth it. At this time of year the perennials are mostly dead, but the plants inside are thriving. Beautiful bonsai exhibit and really fun train exhibit when we went. Strongly recommend.

The Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are gorgeous! They have a large number of bonsai trees on display and a butterfly room filled with colorful flowers. Mixed in with the plants are beautiful pieces of art. It’s definitely worth walking outside as well. Even the children’s garden was fun for adults with signs encouraging us to touch the plants. This is a Columbus must do!!

This place was so cute, and so pretty at night with all the Christmas lights lit up. My friend and I even enjoyed the space designated for kids (I need that mushroom shaped drum), and we got to see the inside and outside for a couple of hours before it closed. I loved all of it, and we got to get some small things from the gift shop too!! We want to go back when it snows and sometime in the spring. Definitely worth the money and trip time!!

This conservatory is truly amazing. Whether you are coming to see the flowers, to entertain your children in the kid area, or just want to see the butterflies, this place has much to offer for everybody. The Halloween event is especially nice. I recommend becoming a member. I can promise you that you won’t regret buying a membership. In summary, the conservatory is an amazing place, with something for everyone.

Very nice conservatory. Lots of plants and flowers. There is a gift shop and dining area. The butterfly area is really nice and we loved seeing all the different butterflies. The outside area is one of my kids favorites with a wonderful play space (especially when the weather is warmer and the kids can play in the water-bring a change of clothes). I recommend going in spring or summer if you want to be outdoors and see a lot of the flowers in bloom. Elevators are available to navigate between floors for those that may need them.

What an excellent place to appreciate flowers, plants, bonsai, topiary displays, Chihuly glass art, and a children's garden. The conservatory was set up and organized very well. My group and I thoroughly enjoyed walking through and seeing all the beautiful displays. They have a gift shop. There was a live band playing while we were there, which was a nice touch. The parking was free, but the admission fee was a little steep for seniors. They had clean, accessible bathrooms. They also had wheelchairs for those who couldn't do the walking. I am glad I visited this conservatory, and I recommend you visit here as well. Definitely deserves the 5 star rating I give it!!

Love it every time! My kids love it, too. The children's gardens are awesome. We also love all the indoor spaces and the outdoor trains. We come several times per year. And it's especially cool during Pumpkins Aglow in the Fall and Conservatory Aglow at Christmas time.

We went here for pumpkins aglow. It was a family friendly Halloween event. (Although the gentleman directing parking had some colorful language to describe a free for all parking situation...it was very busy for a week night apparently) The map provided was of the Conservatory; not of the event, and it was really too dark to read outside anyways. The pumpkins were all displayed really well and themed. There were some unused spaces that might have been good for treat stations. We went on a week night and found some of the entertainment only available on the weekend. I do wish that had been reflected in the price we paid for tickets. The food truck area did not have enough seating on a weeknight, the bar also ran out of coctail mix by 7:15pm. We had fun, and will likely return but would like to spend the day.

What a great place! This is the largest collection of Chihuly sculptures outside of his own museum in Seattle. Such a delight to see his art in concert with the gorgeous plants and flowers 🌺 (I attached a map of his art pieces around the gardens). Most of the best parts are inside so even if the weather is not great, still an awesome visit! Also a full children’s play area on the lower level. Plus a cafe and nice gift shop - you’ll enjoy! 🌈

Such a beautiful building at any time of year but the lights at Christmas are my favorite! Beautifully done and spaced out for everyone to enjoy! The kids loved it and so did the adults if we’re being honest! A must see with the family if you’re looking for an adventure during the holiday season!

Stunning! We came for Conservatory Aglow with our kids (9 and 12). The lights were very impressive, and we loved the music throughout. We spent about an hour outside, grabbed some hot cocoa, and then toured the botanical gardens. There was so much to see! Well worth the money - will definitely return.

A very beautiful building with white design. The orchid garden was very lovely. My favorite was the butterfly garden. The staff told me there were more than 2000 butterflies here, but I think they have less…. In general the experience was nice. I spent about 1 hour here.If you plan 1 day to visit Columbus, buy a 1-day pass of the city will be cheaper than buying separate tickets. I bought a pass a went to The Conservatory and the Zoo/Aquarium.

my girlfriend and I spent our anniversary here and had the most wonderful time! the plants and wildlife are unbelievable, the art is incredible, but what we appreciated most was how kind and friendly every single staff member was. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous botanical garden. Butterfly garden had a lot of activity and no wait to enter. Butterflies are more active on sunny days! Great spot to take photos and don’t miss out on the outdoor areas. The gift shop is reasonably priced and a good size.

This place is great for plant lovers and families. They separate the plants based on their climates, which you can feel as you walk through and take in all of the foliage. Between all of the rooms, the hallways are lined with various plants, different every season. In some places it is not clear what direction the walkways go and you might walk through the same area twice. Every season there are also different exhibits, so every visit here may not be the same. They also have a seasonal butterfly blooming exhibit where you can walk through a mist of butterflies. If you want small plants or memorabilia of your own, there is a gift shop near the entrance as well as a cafe. This is a great place to visit during a weekend.

Beautiful place, gorgeous tickets in advance just in case. Our time was for 1pm, but we arrived pretty early, and it wasn't a problem at all!Great place for a couples outing or to take the kids as they have a dedicated area.

I recently visited the Columbus Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and it was a delightful experience, despite some areas being closed. The beauty of the place is undeniable, with bee hives buzzing for pollination amidst the few blooms of the season. What added to the charm was the colorful array of visitors, wearing vibrant Indian and African attire, which, humorously, added more color to the scenery than the flowers themselves. Capturing 90 images around the park, I found it to be a peaceful retreat, rich in diversity and life. A truly fun and picturesque day out!

A gorgeous preservation of natures beauty as well as a setting full of unique and breathtaking glass sculptures. I made a visit with a friend of mine and neither of us knew what to expect, but the staff was kind and helpful, and the map made it easy to guide ourselves around the different sections of garden/exhibit.This is a great spot to bring kids, as they have a ton of outdoor space and activities for families. The exhibits were clean and impressive, though a bit crowded.The butterfly event blew me away. Being in a room surrounded by so many gorgeous butterflies was magical.They have clean restrooms, a nursing room, an eatery, a gift shop, and i believe they even offer glassblowing courses on certain days.I will be back again for sure! I was very impressed by my visit.

We had a lot of fun walking through the different biomes! The Himalayas, rain forest, and dessert! So many unique plants and butterflies! The metamorphosis area (where the butterflies hatch) is also beautiful!!

Such a cool place! Lots for kids and families today, awesome inspiration for flowers or trees in your landscaping or just to appreciate.Butterfly exhibit was incredible, they’re almost flying right on top of you! Huge bright butterflies everywhere. Kids loved that part, but make sure you dress down as it’s very hot and humid in there.

We went to the butterfly exhibit, and it was brilliant. We loved everything about the botanical gardens. We were able to purchase endangered native plants to plant in our native perennial garden at home. We loved our time spent with some amazingly beautiful flowers and will definitely return.

Easily one of my favorite places in Ohio. First time we visited was during the holiday lights in December 2020, and we were all masked and keeping a safe distance. It was magical then. Every visit since has been magical and spirit lifting as well. There is always a beautiful surprise waiting around a corner, both inside and out.

We went to Aglow and have made it an annual event. We love going and it’s refreshing to be outside and refreshments / popcorn on site. Inside is spectacular and the fish are truly stunning. The gift shop is adorable - parking and tickets all went smooth and customer service was good. Five stars from this girl.

We visited while on vacation in the area. The plants are lovely, and I especially enjoyed the Chihuly glass embedded throughout the conservatory. The train exhibit is whimsical and we loved looking at all of the displays. This is worth a visit!

Beautiful, even on a rainy day! Was in town visiting family and came here to visit with them. Of course it was a rainy mess that day so I did not get to enjoy all that the Conservatory and Gardens had to offer. However, what I did see what fantastic.Ticket prices for an adult was something like $23 or $26 which is a little steep for a rainy day because you can't enjoy everything. However, the butterflies were amazing, staff was friendly, and what I did see of the grounds were so beautiful. Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Ohio (with hopefully better weather).

We took a three hour glass blowing class which was fantastic! The instructors were patient and helpful. Each of us made 3-4 pieces. There was a heat spell so they moved our class to the morning. Very accommodating. If you live in or are traveling through this area, take a class!Ok - I had to return and add one more photo. Because we live out of town, out items needed to be shipped to us. They arrived today, and we are thrilled!!

My husband and I visited the conservatory as our anniversary date. It was a really great experience and everything is absolutely beautiful. It's worth the 3 hour drive. Can't wait to take my daughter and granddaughter when the weather warms up. There's so much to see outside that we missed because it's February.

Absolutely love it here! Such a beautiful place to visit. The best part is the butterfly exhibit. All of the employees we’ve encountered here have been incredibly helpful and friendly.

I find it to be at least a good hour of time, with several exhibits to see, a gift shop, sitting areas, and tons of activities for children.Consider a membership if you’ll visit more than twice in a year. The membership also includes access to several events, discounts, and more.Parking is easy, with large lots. The entire place is very handicap accessible.

This is the most incredible mall I have ever been in. If you can't find it here, you don't need it.I like the way the mall is inside and surrounded by all kinds of shops outside.If the weather is nice you can go between the mall and all the other retail stores located around the mall.Plan on spending the day between the movie theater, Funny Bonez, all the delicious restaurants like Cheesecake Factory, Quaker Steak and Lube, Five Guys, Mimi Cafe and all the other chain stores both inside and out.It's amazing! Enjoy yourself and don't rush

This mall is absolutely going down the path of a slow death. Half of the escalators do not work (All closed "for your safety" seems like a money saving exercise to force you to walk all the way around). The mall stores all open at 11, so in the morning the place is dead. The selection of stores is also a bit poor. The silly generic response to my comments are not going to instigate any change. If you dont want to embarrass our city please take visitors elsewhere

Supernice place - trust me it'll take almost half of your day to wander around. Many shops, food court and many more. A must to visit mall even for a walk and socializing.

A fantastic mall that is easy to explore, clean, and with plenty of different types of shops for everyone! I enjoyed FYE (nerdy stuff), The Spice Tea and Exchange (great teas as well as variety of spices, sugars, salts, and more), and bubble tea from Bubbles The Tea and Juice Company.

Polaris is a solid shopping experience and the nicest indoor mall in Columbus.

Still a great place to shop. A good bit of the stores have changed over the years but still a neat place to visit. Very clean and well managed. Always enjoy shopping at Polaris.

Overall there are A LOT of shops to choose from so we definitely found what we were looking for. The oversized kiosks in the middle made the mall corridors feel a bit narrow. It makes for a family of 6 with a large stroller a bit challenging to maneuver around. We ate at the food court upstairs which did not have much seating available at the time. With the long lines stretching into the walkway, it made for a chaotic search for food and a place to find a seat.

Update 8/4/23: Why is the mall closing at 8:00pm on a Saturday?? Ridiculous. Can y’all at least be open until 9:00pm on Friday and Saturday. Sheesh.2 weeks prior: This mall and Easton are the 2 best malls in the Columbus, OH metro area.

Great mall, I was a tad scared alone I felt like people were following me and I would sneak in places. I would not recommend walking solo in this mall. I kept in groups of people and left. Also no maps to find store's if I was looking for something. I was planning to shop during my work trip but did not feel safe alone, so I left.

Nice mall- consistently clean and welcoming, despite the changing environment.Sadly, some recent shootings and criminal activity have deterred families and others from frequenting.They could use better and more present security.I visited the other day for the first time in 5 years. Not nearly the crowds as prior to the Covid pandemic.

Decent indoor shopping mall with major retailers like Macy’s, JCPenney, Saks, Apple, Dick’s Sports, and others. There is a volleyball training place (?) as well. They have a nice food court with a good variety of food options (Popeye’s chicken coming soon). The mall has a very relaxed vibe which I enjoy. Plenty of parking spaces.

I work for one of the stores here and the amount of times there's not parking because they've got numerous spots blocked off for seemingly no reason is ridiculous. Having to walk nearly a mile in 95 degree weather is unbelievable (especially for someone who has seizures triggered by overheating).

This is a very cool mall that I visit fairly often. I always enjoy walking through it and taking in the place. Lots to do here. Definitely a must visit!

Polaris Mall is a good place to conduct your in person shopping. They have a good mix of anchor stores and boutique places. You have everything from Macy's and Barnes & Noble all the way to the food court. Plenty of parking. Sometimes you just need to see an item in person before you decide to buy it. Thankfully Polaris is here for us.

It’s a shopping 🛍️ mall and playground 🛝 for the kids 🧒.

I really enjoyed this mall. Something for everyone. Clean bathrooms. Lots of food choices. Plenty of good parking. We had a great time.

I've driven by this place a lot over the past 9 years and finally decided to stop in. Now I'll stop each time. 😊 This place is huge. The upstairs is filled with cheese of all flavors and different meats. Lots of snacks, tea,, ice cream and misc. downstairs along with a place to get lunch.Staff is so friendly and they offer samples. Even in the candy shop! The kids were excited and I didn't complain 😉. I was so busy looking I didn't get photos inside.

Loved it!! You may sample any cheese in the store, same with the candy part. Great tasty samples...was not let down...I could've been here for hours but I had to get moving. Got some goodies and I'm good now.

This place is WELL WORTH the stop off the freeway. The main building is filled with everything from cheeses and meats, to sauces, spreads, salsas, dressings, spices, lotions and candles.The staff is so helpful and welcoming, letting you try a variety of cheeses and spreads without feeling pressured to buy. The cheeses are all so different, yet all tastefully and intentionally crafted. We loved our experience there and can’t wait to go back!!

This place is really neat. First off it’s easy to get to from the interstate and there’s plenty of large vehicle parking.They’ve got a few buildings to check, but you should start with the big one. Huge selection of all sorts of food. Cheese, meats, snacks, jelly, sauces, I could go on and on. They’ve got a small restaurant that serves a perfect lunch. Mostly sandwiches.The other building we went in had candy galore. Lots of unique stuff.Well worth the stop for sure!!!

Fun and unique experience to break up the travel to Cleveland. Two different buildings - one has all the cheese and lots of other fun stuff. The other has lots of different candies, chocolate, fudge, etc. There is also an ice cream shop. As you walk up outdoor music is playing classic oldies - reminds me of Kings Island water Park. There is outdoor seating with a view of a pond. They use the old style huge, clunky registers to ring you up. Lots of staff so you won't wait in line and all are very friendly. The cheese is good - many different offerings. They let you try before buying. The chocolates are amazing. If it has a special seal on it - they make it there. Highly recommend the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Prices are more expensive for the handmade but worth it.

VERY VERY large selection of candy, fudge, cheese, chocolates, dips, and so much more. The staff was very friendly and helpful in telling me which items were gluten free and which weren't which was very nice of them. This place is very cool and I recommend stopping by to check it out if you are in the area!

So many different types of cheese! If you love cheese, this is the place to go. They also have a nice selection of meat sticks, butters, teas and crackers. The chocolate store has lots of chocolate and delicious fudge. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. We'll definitely be visiting again some time.

Ummm, they have a barn full of cheese! We had 300 miles left on our road trip,but saw a sign for Grandpa's Cheesebarn, so, yeah, here we are. If you love fermented cow juice with random flavors added as much as I do, don't miss this cheese lovers playground. They have plenty of samples to keep you full for days. Well worth the detour.

Grandpa's Cheesebarn is a GEM! There is SO much to try! It is very nice that you can sample just about everything before you buy. The staff is super friendly and the food that we purchased is very high quality. Nice little touch that you can buy an insulated bag and they provide an ice pack. Also, very nice little area between the cheesebarn and the candy store where you can sit and enjoy the things you purchased! LOVE this place!

Stopped in today, Sunday. It was really busy. But the lines moved quickly! Love getting to sample different items before buying them! And trying things never heard of. Bought so much stuff! Then went to restaurant and tried something new, big hot dogs with fried bacon, yum!! Will be going back!!

Variety is amazingThen go to their sweet shoppe and again the selections of new and old fashion treats are never ending.A bit pricey but the quality is excellent. 18 yr old cheddar is $39.99 a pound, we bought a small block and it is awesome. The double dipped malt balls are great but too much wax in the chocolate for me personally. Homemade thick fudge is awesome.Looking forward to a trip back in a few months.

This is the first I've ever been. It was an awesome experience & I definitely didn't leave for home empty handed. The staff was amazing & you can sample literally ANYTHING they have for sale. I'm a cheese head, I love it, but for some reason none of the sample cheeses I tried were any good, in my opinion. I will say, I left home with some beer cheese& it tastes phenomenal with plain salted tortilla chips 🎉. I would definitely like to go back & give the cheese another shot.

We came for the fresh local honey but we conquered the cheese! We arrived less than 30 minutes before closing but the staff was super friendly. The owner (or manager) saw us oohing over the cheese section and brought us over for tastings. Definitely a great place to visit! 👍

Saw the billboard and needed a break from the car, so we stopped. So much more than we expected. Very nostalgic like. Busy but not crowded. We made purchases in the candy store and the cheesebarn-yummy! Way more than just cheese and well worth the stop!!!

This hidden gem is Always a family favorite stop when traveling. They have the best selection of meats, cheeses, snacks, and candy. If you've never been here, be prepared to be blown away with the enormous selections. It's literally a barns worth of amazing delicatessen. If you need to make an enormously delicious charcuterie, then this would be the place to go.

What a great place to stop!!! It was our first time visiting Grandpa’s and we were not disappointed!!! See our load in the photos below! They will even let you sample any flavor of cheese before you buy. You can also sample any fudge in the Sweet store. So much good stuff to buy that it will be a regular stop whenever we go toward East coast. You can also buy a cooler bag with frozen pack included!

Stopped for the cheese, but only left with the sweets. I’ll definitely be back when the crowd may be smaller for time to explore the cheesebarn. Happy to have gotten some sweets and samples of the fudge!Cheers!

Such a fun stop. When we arrives I didn’t know the cheese was on the 2nd floor of the. Barn. I literally went up 2 steps up the stairs and was hit with a strong cheese smell. It was amazing. Tons of stuff to look through. Different flavors and variety. We had a really fun time checking out and sampling all the different snacks. Really looking forward to make some broccoli cheddar soup, with this red onion cheddar!

As far as touristy food places go, this place is as good as it gets. Lots of u unsual cheeses and different forms of candy/chocolate/fudges.Really clean and nice.The management and the people working there are awesome. Best service of anyplace we have been to in a while.So impressed with this place.You will not be disappointed if you go there!!!

So many unique cheeses! The cheeses are upstairs, and you can sample as many as you like. Just ask one of the friendly staff behind the counter. My daughter tasted a 19 year old sharp cheddar. I ended up purchasing a smokey bacon ranch cheese, so good! The staff has stories to tell on different cheeses.There are 2 candy stores, but we were only focused on the cheeses.

I've been an Ohio resident my entire life, and after 29 years, I FINALLY visited Grandpa's Cheese Barn. 🧀 This place is a staple in the midwest and now I personally know why. This place is massive and there are endless varieties of cheeses, jams, fudge, and gifts. 🎁 You can sample any of the cheese or fudge products, which was nice because there are some strange concoctions that we just had to try (aka, the apple pie cheese). 😆 We bought a handful of goodies from both the cheese barn and the candy store next door. This was a great pitstop on the way back to Columbus from Cleveland.

There is something for everyone here! Very high quality Cheese and Sweets and more! Very nice set up and very neat place to check out. This place is huge!

Love this place. We have been several times now. And we will be back. The petting zoo is so much fun. The buggy rides are also fun. The food we've got from here is always good.

This is a true gem and a must see in Amish Country! My daughter loves seeing all the animals and feeding them carrots. This visit she wanted to ride a horse. She chose "Big Bob" and we went on a ride. She loved it. They have goats on the roof of the barn to feed via the ice-cream cone conveyor belt. They have plenty of seasonal items. Right now they had pumpkins and fall flowers. They have great food options for a snack or a meal. Overall a great place for your whole family!

Everything here was awesome! Very authentic and not commercialized! The petting zoo was great and had tons of animals! the donuts in bakery were great, the homemade ice cream sundae was excellent, the sweet corn we bought and took home was delicious also. All the employees were very friendly and helpful! Make sure to come here on your next trip to Amish country!

Locally manufactured goods and food in the stores with the highlight being the massive petting zoo, of course!You can buy vegetables for the animals (at super fair prices!) to feed, pet & cuddle them. They will land on your hand ,arm,head. Very entertaining. You can spend hours here.The Amish buggy ride is a fun experience. We had a driver that was Amish & born in the area. He was very friendly & talkative. Great visit also.. the produce & store has a good selection. Of course picked up way more of everything because it's fresh. Would definitely return.

Great place for buggy rides, petting farm, shopping for gifts, and grocery shopping. They have a food cart with sandwiches, salads, sides, appetizers, freshly cooked kettle corn, and believe it an ice cream stand. There's restrooms and tables under cover for you to sit and eat all your goodies. My reason to stop was so my sister could see Big Ben, the Beligan 19 foot tall horse. When I was there 15 years ago, my mother and I stopped and took a picture of this fabulous horse. Nice place to stop and visit with children along with a buggy ride. Prices are so reasonable too. There were even goats on the roof of the building. See my pictures to help you make a decision, but it is well worth a stop and support your locally-owned businesses.

When visiting Amish Country in Ohio, Hersherger’s Farm and Bakery is always a great stop for all ages. It has been fun to watch the changes they have made to the place through the years. In addition to being a farm and bakery, there is a country craft store, a concession stand, and a petting zoo with a small fee for the kids. And, if you walk behind the craft store, you can also check out the farm’s work horses.

Lovely set of Amish shops and attractions. The line of food stalls along the market really helped drive that community market feel, too. Lots to do if you come with any little ones: carriage rides, petting zoos, lots of sweets. Personally, I enjoyed the selection of fry pies and leather goods. Parking is ample and the whole lot is kept very clean

What a wonderful place to take the kids in Amish Country! I've been to the area and driven by here so many times, but never stopped here for the petting zoo until the other day with my toddler. The petting zoo and buggy ride exceeded my expectations and they were much more affordable than I expected too. Some of the animals are even out walking around with everyone and napping in the open where the kids can pet them easily and some you can pick up and hold. It's not your average petting zoo, there were so many animals to see and pet! The bakery was great...next time I'll bring a cooler with me to buy refrigerated items. Our buggy driver was so sweet and offered such a wonderful experience! We also had delicious homemade ice cream before leaving, and they also had homemade kettle corn and local angus burgers and more! What a neat place to spend a couple hours.

Absolutely the most amazing way to spend a few hours with friends and family.No better time to go than early October as the trees are changing colors 🍂 and the pumpkins sit arranged in the most beautiful displays.The entire experience is unforgettable, especially for children.If a petting zoo could EVER be described as "clean" and "orderly" this one fits the description. It's literally perfect! And the animals are incredibly healthy and well taken care of.The Amish are some of the most extraordinary people in the world, and they do EVERYTHING with excellence. When here came in from Florida, super nice super friendly they must go to the food is phenomenal Petty Farm was awesome. Many animals there that you can purchase. We also spend a bunch of money feeding them lol

A large agri-entertainment facility with a petting area (closed during our visit), a farm store and a bakery. The baked goods were, well "good" comes to mind. We bought a couple cream sticks and asked for 2 coffee to wash them down but they ran out of coffee. Everything we saw here was good. But everything we saw we had seen in two or three other places. There just wasn't anything that grabbed you. Maybe if you had kids the petting area would be an attraction. But without it, and with it being off the beaten track, we probably will skip it it the future.

We visit here multiple times a year as a family with little ones. It’s very reasonably priced and unique fun! Many farm animals to pet and feed and get up close and personal. A great store and bakery along with a food trailer, homemade ice cream and kettle corn! Definitely a must!

My kids loved this place. It was their favorite part of our 2 week vacation to Niagara Falls and Ohio. The breakfast sandwiches we had were really good, and we had lots of fun at the petting zoo.

We have been going to this place since my daughter was barely able to walk and she loves it! It is a very fun atmosphere and the animals are so gentle and lovable!Their food truck has delicious food but isn’t open during the winter season so we usually just go in the bakery and get some cheese and trail or beef sticks and cheese. We definitely recommend checking this place out, especially in the summer when they have horse and buggy rides and the food truck is open :)

We love this location on our Amish country trips. They do have a petting zoo which is great for the kids or adults. They have a wide selection of fresh produce, canned items, dairy and baked goods. Across the lot they have a store that sells chairs, toys and other items for the home or personal use. Definitely should check out on your next trip.

We visited this farm and bakery last Saturday. I recommend going in the bakery first getting your treats and eating them before going over to the animal exhibit. The bakery was very good clean and oh my gosh the sweets from there were divine. We had cream sticks my son had a large donut. I wanted a fry pie but though today I'll get Creamsticks. The farm part was nice my son loved it we got a kick out of all the animals. The only thing I would say is 6 dollars a person was just a little steep and then having to pay for added food it just seems a little high but we had a good time despite. And this time there was more animals

Great local place to watch some plays. I went with a girlfriend to watch the Sound of Music, and we both enjoyed ourselves!

Along with the fabulous repertoire the OLO programs, I'm amazed how the whole production staff seems to come up with so much magic. The musicianship of the singers and orchestra is excellent.

The Ohio lite opera always gives a spectacular and Sterling performance! Have been to see them 3 times and they do not disappoint!

An otherwise delightful performance of Girl Crazy was spoiled today (7/14) by an orchestra that was too loud (drowning out voices) and a sound system that failed in act one but was better managed in act two. Much of the dialogue and songs was indecipherable. Choreography was generally excellent. Having had season tickets for nine years, today was a disappointment.

Mostly good, fun productions, poor acoustics. Limited parking, but can park on street

Excellent wealth of information on Amish & Mennonite history. The mural with a timeline from Christ to late 20th century is breath-taking...a truly fantastic piece of art!

The Behalt is a historically significant place, showing the timeline of the reformation and the way the Anabaptist people have affected the world and also how other denominations have treated them. Highly recommend to anyone interested in religious history.

I have been looking at the website for the Amish Heritage Library and the Behalt Amish Mennonite Heritage Center. I am so interested and eager to see this in person. I look forward to the day that I can do this and hopefully it will be sometime next summer. The facts and history of the Amish and Mennonite people are so exquisitely displayed in the cyclorama. The library itself seems to be the Smithsonian of libraries on culture, information and the history of the Amish, Mennonite and other plain and Anabaptist people from their lives from Europe to the United States. The virtual tour is wonderful and I can only imagine what this is like in person. Thanks for making this available online. I cannot wait for the moment to see this.

Very nice facility with a wealth of information on Amish and Mennonite culture. Beautifully presented artifacts, old and new. Detailed explanations and myth-busting help the visitor understand the people and their history. There are several short films and guided tours are available as well. There appears to be a large appointment-only library for advanced research. There are also additional out building available for tours. I found this to be a superior facility and staff. Highly recommend.UPDATE MAY 2023. Spent time in the library discussing a genealogy question. Tremendously helpful young man. Knowledgeable, friendlyI really think this facility is a touch above.

We enjoyed sharing this with our visting Russian Gideon President. Even with an interpreter, he seemingly understood the history of the culture. Behalt is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn the history of Anabaptists! There are several tours. First, is the cyclorama (of which there are only a few in the world) from Jesus Christ's resurrection to the present day, in narration and pictures in and round mural. It takes roughly 45-50 minutes to hear it from beginning to end. Second, there is a video presentation around 20 mins in length of the Amish life. Thirdly, there is a tour of an Amish school, which lasts around 15-20 minutes, and fourth, a tour of an Amish barn, complete with narrative history of barn raising, different types of buggies and a Conestoga wagon. Last, there is a gift shop and book store to continue educating yourself on Anabaptists. One could spend hours there. Located just outside of Berlin, it is close to all the sights around. I highly recommend a visit!

The Ohio Amish Library at Behalt is an amazing resource for those interested in Anabaptist history and culture. The staff is incredibly helpful. There is now a pin map showing the locations of Amish settlements in North America.

I encourage all to see this amazing piece of artwork.For the lack of three more stars, I wish to share my experience with Center leadership, specifically Director Marcus Yoder. During several years of interaction with the Center as a local scholar, I faced several challenges that I feel are important to share.I had multiple interactions with the Director that left me with unresolved grievances. These include issues related to mishandling archival records I stored there, distressing comments made to community members about my work, and a lack of coordination in managing archival materials. Additionally, there were instances where I felt my contributions were undermined, such as the Director's co-establishment of a new, similarly-named periodical that stated in its front-matter that it was the "successor" of the still-active one I edit.One particular incident that stood out was a social media exchange involving the Director and his wife that I found unprovoked and distressing. Despite reaching out to address these issues, the Director chose not to meet to discuss a resolution. I also contacted the board chair for contact information for board members but was asked to route all communications through him, which did not instill confidence in a fair process.A separate concern arose when a well-regarded tour guide was dismissed suddenly, which I believe was handled in a manner that reflected broader issues within the Center’s management.The disparity between the values represented by the mural of Mennonite/Christian martyrs and some of my experiences with the Center's leadership is troubling. The mural, which commemorates individuals who stood against oppressive establishments, contrasts with the challenges faced when raising concerns within the Center.I hope that future management of the mural and the Center aligns more closely with the values of humility and respect that the artwork embodies.[Note: Since posting my initial review, an individual connected to the Center and competing periodical has placed a contrasting review. This action, along with other public statements, reflects ongoing issues that I believe merit attention.]

A must see for visitors. Tours are about every 30 minutes. The guide is a local Amish man that worked as a teacher for 24 years. He is very knowledgeable and down to earth. Tour of the school room and barn is $8 for an adult ticket. We did not get the mural tour, but the mural itself is an amazing work of art. It is outside and free.

Absolute must if in the area. Spectacular tour with expert guide showing a multitude of history. Cyclorama absolutely breath taking.

I was looking forward to visiting this museum but when I did, I was so disappointed at the lack of art, atmosphere etc. A few dinosaurs and that's about it. I am skipping it next time.

Went there for the first time today and was excited to see some art for free. The check-in staff member was very kind and helpful when we visited. The security guards on the other hand were a bit much. We had not been in the museum for longer than 5 minutes and the security guards had already accused us of touching the paintings, mind you we’re all old enough to know how to act appropriately in public spaces being college students and all. We then proceeded to be followed throughout the rest of our visit. The atmosphere was too quiet and we felt like if we talked too much we might get scolded again. The art was nice, but most likely won’t be returning again.

Allen Art Museum has a great and diverse art collection. I believe this may be the only art museum in Lorain County.

Very underrated hardly busy at all. I look forward to my opportunity to see the Frank Lloyd wright House that they upkeep in town. They do tours reservations only. Only on the first Sunday of each month in the summer.

Great little museum. Friendly staff, and a pretty good selection of art eras, mediums, and styles. There is also a free audio tour, with local college students reporting dissertations on some of the pieces.

My nephew's school did a last minute filed trip to this museum and we greated by a very nice soft spoken young women named Ava. She kindly took us to four big art works in different exhibits that were recently brought to the museum. Overall, very nice, informative, relaxing experience.

I own a Dodge Dakota. To see this magnificent vehicle featured in a work of art was amazing. Also, don't forget to go to the 2nd floor. Unforgettable

What an amazing collection of Christmas memorabilia, toys, store Christmas window displays, and Christmas movie props. Came here for my sister's "Christmas in July" birthday and we were amazed at the quality of everything we saw on the 2 hour tour.The dedication by their team to not only aquire such a collection, but also get everything working and moving properly is truly a spectacle worth stopping by to see.Highly, highly recommended!

Amazing place, they really packed a lot into the area. You got to learn a lot of information about certain Christmas movies, Christmas characters, the actors, and even just how some were made. A lot of it was showcasing items in movies which I felt that part was a bit boring. They did not have many areas to sit once you were in there, so it got a little tiring there. The final room was by far my favorite. There was a giant slide that was really a lot faster than I expected, and amazing things to look at. If you are looking for something to do with your family for the Christmas season, I recommend castle Noel.

Having lived in Ohio most of my life, I don't understand how I never heard of this place before 3 weeks ago. It is truly an experience worth having, even for those who are not "Christmas people". The memorabilia and collection stored inside these walls is truly enchanting and the care each tour guide demonstrates to maintain that "Christmas spirit" makes it all the more enjoyable. I would recommend this place based solely on the toy room (if you know, you know) but certainly the entire experience is worth the trip.

Simply amazing. Mark Klaus has made everyone child’s dream come true. His skill in salvaging these beautiful props and displays is one of a kind. We also attended his first Luau and it was beyond wonderful. My cheeks hurt so bad when we left, we had SO much fun. My daughter absolutely loved dancing with the girls after I dragged her up on stage! Keep up all the hard work, it’s amazing! Can’t wait to come back and see what’s new!!

Castle Noel is always changing and adding fun and unique events. I was honored to be present at their first (sold-out) Hawaiian Luau. Their courtyard area was transformed into a beautiful tropical paradise. The Hawaiian buffet and drinks were fabulous and the show was amazing. Castle Noel does everything top-notch and is always an experience that will not disappoint. I highly recommend going to their next luau, or any of their fun attractions... Christmas museum, gift shop, and Alien Golf. I cannot wait for their next attraction (The Polar Bear Club) to open. In the meantime, we plan on going to another fun Luau!

This place is one of the most magical places on earth, and it's only 40 minutes from my house. It's a must stop for the holiday season. We got a picture with Santa. He was absolutely wonderful and kind. For seeing so many people, he was still cheerful and gave such a jolly smile for our picture. Which was $11, to me, very affordable. We were blown away by the entire experience.My only objection was that there was only one bathroom at the end of the over two hour tour. Overall, I do highly recommend it!

I think this is a great place to visit. There are so many cool movie memorabilia items to see. I would recommend visiting here. The only thing I would like to see changed is not having to watch any videos. I would rather have extra time to look in the toy room. We really enjoyed the big slide and getting a family photo with Santa. Photos are $12 which I thought was affordable. This is a fun place for adults and children.

Wish you could do a self tour. We were shuffled through like a herd of cattle. The rooms my Hubs & I wanted to see longer we weren't able to spend more time in.I will also state that we had reserved tickets and our tour left 25 minutes behind schedule. At 10am on a weekday the 1st week of November. So, not on a weekend and not a busy time. 😕 it wasn't the experience we were hoping for. The last room was neat and I really appreciate all the hard work and wonderful restoration it takes for the decorations.Not the Christmas joy I was hoping for.

So neat! So much stuff! This place is so cool.Also so crowded (in Nov). Would recommend going in the summer when I assume it's not so busy. The souvenirs are very expensive. Even a plain coffee mug that just had the name on it was $25. I understand they need to keep it open and going but of all the places I go and have went, this is some of the most expensive souvenirs.The price to get in is worth the tour and I want to go again because of all the stuff to see, I'm sure I missed some in the first trip!!!A PSA: whatever they use for the fake snow that fell in the one room gave me an asthma attack and I had to run outside and get some water. Some of the kids coming out were coughing also so just be aware.

Amazing place to walk down memory lane from all the old classic movies to the amazing Saks 5th Ave displays. Going down the red slide from The Christmas Story!!! You will definitely spend at least 1.5hr inside this guided tour.

Such a fun time. I will always recommend this place to EVERYONE! Tons of memories for everyone. Many different rooms and exhibits, the castle is always updating and adding new exhibits to what they currently have. This museum is such a fun time and quite honestly the fact you get a picture at the end with Santa is a cherry on top.

Took our baby girl to castle Noel for her first Christmas it was absolutely wonderful! However, the group sizes for the tours were way too big and most of the time while the tour guide was explaining things we were still in the other room and we could barely hear them or see what they were talking about. Also, we were taking a back that we could not take pictures with Santa as part of our original ticket price when we bought them for the tour. but it did not ruin our experience that much. I just wish that it was just a little better.the good outweighs the bad exponentially look forward to coming back next season

A very relaxing trip down the canal, as if you had lived back in these times. 2 horses pull the boat down to a lock, then they turn the boat around and go back. They allow you to go up top of the boat (for a few minutes, 5 at a time) to get the best view Educational and interesting, there's a 30 minute movie that's a must see before departure time, and boat ride is 1hour. Boats run 1pm and 2:30 only most days in the summer and only on Saturday and Sunday in spring and fall.

this is an absolutely beautiful park. I am very interested in the history surrounding the Ohio and Erie Canal. The visitor center has wonderful displays and a video of the history before you take the canal boat trip. The cost is very reasonable and the trip is enchanting. I highly recommend this.Also, remember Canal Fulton is an historical town. There are many quaint shops and restaurants to enjoy.

My wife and I took our 8 year old on this little trip down the canal. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well as learned quite a bit of history of the canal and the area from the guide that was with us. It was a nice ride and we will do it again. I would definitely recommend this for anyone.

The web site was very confusing and we missed the boat ride since they were no longer running on weekdays. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and pointed out other things to do in the area. The exhibits in the building we're interesting and we enjoyed the movie. There is a museum on the site but it was also closed on weekdays starting the week before labor day weekend

This facility is beautiful, with very clean restrooms and organized pamphlets. The beautiful canal is right outside, I just wish that the girl working would've shared some information with us. Great natural beauty! One can do plenty of activities likekayaking, jogging, running, biking, fishing etc.TheNature Center at the Rocky River Reservation is worth a visit. The Nature Centeroffers wildlife exhibits, a river observation deck & a bird-feeding station. The deck offers spectacular views of a 360 million year old shale cliff from the deck overhanging the river.

A gorgeous reservation trail that's always pristine and well maintained, and sure to bring you calm and help soothe your soul. If you're up for a chill quiet walk alone, or with a group of friends or family, this is one of the best trails I've been on that really truly has a lot to offer. Is dog friendly too!Lots of little detours, with some bonfire and hangout areas strewn across the trails, and endless lookouts and picture opportunities as you move along your walk. Love the well maintained boardwalksand bridges, the stairs and high points that allow you to get a better footing if you just want to enjoy the outdoors and waterways. If you're up for a more authentic adventure then there are so many other paths that will satisfy.Be sure to check out the Center while you're there for some snacks or a trinket to remember your visit. Their indoor exhibits are pretty cool too. Would recommend.

First time to Rocky River Reservation in quite awhile and definitely first time during the Winter. Enjoyed the trails and plenty of opportunities for all the photographers out there for great photos.

Nice place to hike with kids. Enjoy the view from Fort Hill Stairs. The Rocky River has great view. Clean and fresh air makes you appreciate your life. Nice and clean hiking trails. Enough parking at multiple stations around the park.

Great place to drop a boat. Great parking. Would appreciate picnic tables or a park . Not thrilled about duck poop on the grass, made it challenging to find a place to sit on the blanket.

Awesome place for a walk/hike in nature. There are plenty of trails to explore. It’s definitely popular and you will walk by other people enjoying the park, but overall it never feels crowded.Great for either a short walk or even a few good hours of trail hiking.

The Rocky River Reservation is an excellent place to visit! You can stop at the many different parking areas to get out and view the river or falls. We got to see otters, deer, and groundhogs while we drove through the long Reservation. The park overall was quiet, felt safe and had plenty of restrooms along the route. This park is excellent and I would highly recommend going there!

We love this park! It’s so beautiful and also a great place for a nice walk and exercise! I love to bring my dog and walk up the stairs! We do it several times and it’s great cardio for me and him! He always come home so tired but so happy! Also in summer, you can take your pet to the nearby lake so they can in inside the water and chill out after a long walk!

So pretty and well maintained. Lots of small loops so it's easy to hike a lot without getting lost. Many plants and local wildlife are labeled or documented throughout the trail which is nice. Trails are nicely marked. Lots of stairs but it's early to create routes without them. Most of it was paved.

My dog and I visited the Rocky Riiver Reserervation for an early March hike on a beautiful sunny day. We walked several paths and enjoyed the nature and Interacting with other hikers.

Beautiful trails, one of my new favorites. It was a bit muddy at times but that's expected. Plenty of low and high elevation spots to see the river and trees.

Beautiful trails and well maintained area! I enjoyed my time here strolling with family. The visitors center is both informative and gave me an appreciation of all of the wild life surrounding us. Also, the amount of trails at this reservations was unbelievable! You can get lost here for hours! Easily one of the best Metroparks/parks in the NE Ohio region, and a huge asset to Greater Cleveland. Always well-maintained trails, clear signage, and safe. One of the best free nature centers I've been to. I will always come to this parking while in the Cleveland area.

Tons of hiking, miles of trails (of all types), and great overlook views. The Fort Hill steps are popular and photographed often, and always worth a first visit.

A decent amount to do here. The trails are nicely kept. They have an outdoor stage. Beaver marsh. Bridges. Stone stairs. The large staircase to overlook the river. We always see lots of wildlife here. Sunsets can be good too.

Cassidy did a great job training our group to operate the cables and pulley.This was a Demanding Workout! Crossing many of the various types of rope bridges had me sweating like crazy and working muscles I'd forgotten I had! If you're not in pretty good shape, this course will be difficult.But I persevered, and that last zip line through the trees was a blast!

This place was great. It was a lot of fun and it had its challenges. You need a certain amount of upper and lower body strength to make it through to the end of all the courses...as well as confidence and determination. Savannah was a great instructor and made sure we had the hang of it all before letting us do it by ourselves. I loved that after the first 3 courses, you could repeat one of the last two, once. I've been ziplining before out of the country, but having obstacle courses inbetween was an interesting experience. I would absolutely go back. The people working there were super nice and patient with my group. Please try this place. The price is more than fair for what you get!

Awesome experience! My husband and I (ages 62 & 58) had a great time doing the Treetop Journey, 1 hour course. It was a great introduction to Go Ape. It was just challenging enough. We will definitely go back.This is a great date spot for first dates or folks like us, still sharing adventures after 27 years of marriage. Lots of fun!

Really fun, staff was nice and helpful. Just make sure not to bring your phone or wallet so you don't drop it in the woods. There are also water stations and bathrooms.

There are not enough words to say to thank them for making my elderly mom's bucket wish come true. They were so kind and helpful and made the day amazing. From the initial time we contacted them , to the tour to see if we could make it happen and the actual Zipline everything was wonderful and everyone was helpful.

I've been to three other treetop obstacle places.- This is the only one where the mechanism allows you to unhook yourself. Are they waiting for someone to fall? (EDIT: Clarification, I meant on the tree platforms, you can unhook yourself completely if you choose to)- The difficulty is not what I expected. Too easy for some people. Noticeably easier than the other three places I've been to in Michigan.- The price is a lot higher than I'm used to. You do get more time though.- We wasted time during training, mainly because of waiting for others. Other places do their training as often as possible with smaller group sizes. Here, you do training once per hour (don't miss it!) and so this group training could be crowded if it's a busy day.

Loved this place so much. Took the family and we had a ball. It rained for about 5 min but after that an amazing time was had. They staff was super friendly and help. And a good bit of info they are open and you zip line and do the course no matter rain or shine. The only time they cancel is if it thunderstorm and they will refund your money. But you absolutely have to try this it was so much fun!

Great experience. Perfect for outdoor activity. Takes about and 1-2 hours to get through depending on your pace. Really liked that flexibility of being on our own instead of having someone watch over us the entire time.

Really fun for myself and the children. Kinda expensive but had a blast. Went on a rainy day for more fun. Place was empty. Could see it being very busy on a nice day. Would return, but not often due to price.

Overall experience is good but I would like to mention that I was denied the previously agreed upon group discount for 10 or more people on the ticket counter. I have an email confirmation from GoApe for discount for reservation for specific day’s visit for group of 10 people so I called in more people to join us but they denied it on the counter stating it’s for 15 or more people for that day. They also denied admission to part of our group which arrived 15 minutes late stating no more bookings for the day but we already had group reservation for the day, could not understand why no more booking allowed as park did not seem to be over capacity, sounded more like they had to close for the day early so they denied it. Our friends drove for over an hour and got disappointed.

Just beware you will absolutely violently hit wood chips when you land after ziplining down. At the beginning they tell you DO NOT panic if you turn backwards or sideways but to just let it happen. Oh, it will happen. So when you are flying backwards at vicious speeds and have no idea the landing is coming - you are going to land, HARD. Nothing slows you down so you just crash extra hard. I fell so hard my shoe flew off, and my shorts came down, never a good sign. Lose two and you're basically dead! If you have pre existing neck or back issues or are in general, elderly, no offense, you should avoid the ziplines. You will land anyway but on your feet, at least once, I guarantee it. I did and I watched many others violently land, they were not happy. Otherwise, great time and definitely a work out. You will certainly feel the pain the next day because again, you will crash, bang boom, but also because its a great workout. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the adventure. I am no longer limping and I can now stand without assistance. 5 stars!!!

Exciting and a good workout. Three hour adventure for the family includes a lot of climbing, 5 ziplines, and a Tarzan swing. Mostly shaded experience but you will want to apply bug spray...especially if it rained a day or two before your reservation. Felt safe.

Arborwear went Ape for a company team building afternoon. We all had a great time! It was challenging but so much fun. All 27 of us completed the course and help each other along the way. Some people were a little hesitant on participating but once they started they had a blast and was able to complete the course. Some spots are a little more challenging than others but the course offers you 2 routes in those spots to choose which way you want to go. It is definitely a good workout. Fingerless gloves would of been great to have for the climbing spots but they were sold out when we got there so maybe a good idea to bring your own. I always felt safe but you have to make sure you are paying attention in the training and when you switch at each station (there are signs at each one so it is easy). There are quite a few spots where if you decide you do not want to continue you can so everyone should a least give it a try! I would definitely go again, maybe in the fall when the leafs are fully changed and the weather is a little cooler.

You walk in sign a waiver, bathroom break and off you go with your instructor. They teach you everything you need to know to keep you safe. They repeat it ALOT so that it can stick and you will be good to go. After that you begin your journey close to her then you go alone to an amazing adventure!Pros: A lot of fun amd different courses to do. Great friendly staff.Cons: It is pricey and you are only able to do everything one time.I would love to come more but for the price it's best to just go once a year.

We had a wonderful time at the Akron Zoo! From the moment we walked in the door the staff were so nice and helpful with our membership gift certificate we had. The were really kind and engaging with my 8yo son. It was a hot day so some of the exhibits the animals were hunkered in the shade but by the afternoon things had cooled off so we were able to see almost all the animals being active. The zoo is so walkable that going back to an exhibit is very easy. Definitely looking forward to going back!

One of the nicest zoos we've ever been too. Not to big, not to small. The aquarium exhibits were super healthy. The landscaping was another plus. My favorite part was feeding the goats, they have these large crackers you can purchase such a clean way to feed them.

We went to the Akron Zoo for my grand daughters 4th birthday 🎂. It was a chilly and drizzly evening. We rented 2 of the ride on animals for the kids. The bears and wolves and some other animals were out. The Christmas lights were beautiful! We had so much fun!

We went to their Tigers & Tequila event after park hours and had a great time! They had a training session with the tiger and we received free food/drink vouchers for attending the event. One of the vouchers was for beer, however, one person in our group had celiac disease so we asked for a replacement drink since all beer has gluten and initially they said just water but then the manager flagged us down and offered us margaritas in a can. We were very pleased with the service of the staff, thanks for catering to our needs! It was pleasant going after hours because it was less crowded and the animals were becoming more active towards night time. Here are some of the pictures from the night!

Family fun! Not every gift has to be under the tree, they can be experiences. This is an experience to be had. The lights are amazing. The atmosphere warm and inviting, even on a cold first day of winter❄ in Akron Ohio. Great exercise, hot chocolate,🍫 smores, concession stand (I doors). Great experience with the family. Has plenty of ADA access. A wide variety of animals from different parts of the world with lots of educational information on the species and natural habitats.Cafe was great, we all loved the chicken tenders, and their salad was a VERY generous portion.We attended the Boo at the Zoo event, it was very well executed and organized.

1st time going and I absolutely loved it. It is smaller then the cleveland zoo and really directed towards young kids. Having a 1.5 year old he enjoyed it and all the exhibits were low to the ground. I think if adult kids went they might he bored after a while.Great Cafe, cute zoo.

Even though this is a fairly small Zoo compared to some of the ones that I have been to it still has a lot of great features and Exhibits. Unfortunately when we came the Aviary was blocked off however all of the other exhibits were open. The staff was very friendly however many of the amenities were closed due to staffing issues so I cannot fairly rate them on their service. Hopefully this is something that gets resolved soon, and I hope I can return at some point. However I would still recommend a visit to the zoo.

We love the Akron Zoo. Disappointed today after for passes electronically on advance had to wait in the regular admission line just to get in. It was a beautiful day, crowded with lots of little kids as expected. I'm going to say half the animals weren't out. I know this varies according to weather (and avian flu the zoo is having to deal with), but walking from empty viewing area to empty viewing area is sad for little kids.

The zoo is beautiful. It is small enough that younger kids will be able to walk the whole zoo. It feels like you can get closer to the animals. My kids LOVED the otter slide and the otter seemed to have just as much fun swimming around the slide. Most of the birds weren't out because of the avian flu but we did see a couple of them.

Medium sized zoo that took 2 hours to go through. Only a couple exhibits were closed for renovations etc. You paid for parking inside and it was kinda pointless since you didn't put the receipt in your car so it was just free money for them unless you left and came back. There were staff at the popular exhibits to give facts and teach about the animals. There was a good amount of shade at viewing areas and then the aquatic animals so it wasn't too miserable in the sun. The gardens were out of bloom but had potential to be beautiful in the summer. Plenty of seating and random exercise posts in the park I saw one family doing. Extra money is needed to feed goats (($1 a cracker) and ride the train.

This was actually our first visit to the Akron Zoo! I wasn't really prepared as a last minute decision to stop after an appointment at Akron Children's. I would have had sunscreen, extra frozen water bottles, snacks, hats, & water spray fans. There are a lot of nice areas to sit, relax and enjoy throughout the zoo, so we rushed a bit to get through it. Be prepared. Lots of school field trips when we first got there with kids running, screaming and sitting in display areas with little interest in the actual animals. They cleared out and we were able to enjoy most of the exhibits. The architecture and design was really nice, very different from the Cleveland zoo. The otter exhibit with the slide was really fun for the kids. Overall I'd say it was a really good experience, as Cleveland zoo members we only paid like $20, which made it well worth the cost of admission. We'll just be sure to be more prepared next time, so we can spend more time!

We love this zoo! Good selection of animals, it's a clean facility, there's an aquarium... Just a really nice place to spend an afternoon. The LEMURS and RED PANDAS are the best. If you live within a short drive I'd recommend the yearly pass. Pays for itself in a few visits and it's good for 12 months.

Awesome light show. Great activities for the kids. Carousel, train ride, s'mores making station and characters walking around. Great price. Set up of the zoo is great with the layout. Plenty of animals and hands on experience for children indoors and so much fun outside!

It was incredibly hot, but this little zoo was really great. Most of the animals were sleeping understandably so, but we were still able to see them really close up cuz of how it's all set up. The highlight was seeing the lemurs and the slow loris. The slow loris seems to like cell phones. He was real curious about it.

Overall it’s a nice zoo that’s improved a lot over the years. The only issue I have with it however is how the older exhibits at the front of the zoo are small and not yet renovated. The newer exhibits to the park like the Lion and Gibbon areas are lush and spacious while the older lemur exhibit for example is dark and cramped. I hope they’ll be able to improve their older exhibits someday.

This’s first time visiting this zoo! It’s beautiful from inside and outside! Not too big place to walking, but you can see what you want! Very clean and convenient for wheelchair! Shading and paving paths make you enjoyable in the zoo! The entrance room is very unique and the gift shop really draws visitors’s eyes! Will be back again ❤️

If you haven't been to the Akron zoo yet, you definitely need to get it on your bucket list and put it down as a priority.Hands down, this is such a relaxing, peaceful place to spend any day. Alone, or with family and/ or friends.It's never overly crowded, it's affordable and easy parking and entering.Not only well maintained animal exhibits with fun and interactive walkways, but beautiful garden areas with many Ohio native plants that help to sustain local wildlife and our pollinators.We went for the Christmas lights called the Wild lights and wasn't disappointed. What a wonderful experience for the entire family.

Spent the day here with my son's class field trip. There were a lot of people (due to other field trips), but we were still able to see all of the zoo and ride the merry-go-round.

Took our four grandchildren, ranging from 1 to 9 years old. We brought our own stroller. This place is walkable, even on a hot day. Habitats and enclosures are well maintained and the animals are within easy viewing distance. Plenty of free parking in lots. Only objection is that there are amusem*nt park rides scattered throughout which have extra costs and make children discontent with "only seeing animals". Gift shop is enticingly arranged.

Absolutely the best. Hands down 100% better than the Cleveland Zoo. Clean, full of animals to see, Aquarium included. Only 9$ + parking. Takes about 2+hours to see it all. Well laid out, and easy access for everyone. More animals than Cleveland, now that Cleveland Zoo is in such disrepair. The animals are all out, happy and playful. ☆ only downside the food is nasty, undercooked and over priced, just bring snacks and water with you.

Akron Zoo has made a lot of improvements around the park for a fun walking experience. Always love coming here with my daughter as we can get through the zoo in about 3-3.5hours

This is a great zoo for little ones. It's relatively small and not over crowded. There's tons of fun things to do but not so much it's overwhelming for toddlers.

My family loves this zoo! It’s smaller in size compared to Cleveland but good for little ones. We got free passes from our local library which made it even better. Workers were friendly & doing a good job cleaning & maintaining everything. There are quite a few animals to see (lions,bear,snow leopard,penguins,lemurs & gibbons were my favorites)

What a wonderful zoo! It is the perfect size for little kids. You can take a packed lunch or enjoy the food in the Komodo Cafe. The carousel is beautiful. There is a place where you can buy snacks for the goats and even pet them. When the weather is warm, there is a small train for kids to enjoy. There is even a VR ride that you can go on. And you can go down a slide that runs through the otter exhibit. The gift shop is very nice as well.The staff is really nice. They were very diligent with keeping the park clean.There are extra fees for the carousel, VR ride, train, and feeding the goats. You can also rent motorized carts that look like animals. They also offer up close encounters with some of the animals. Those fees are listed on their website, and a staff member can also tell you about them.

1st time going to this zoo. It was an amazing experience! We loved the layout!! I highly recommend checking this zoo out! It may be a smaller zoo, but it's definitely worth the experience! We really enjoyed the Wild Lights exhibit!

Nice, quaint zoo, which allows you to see animals a little closer than other zoos. Very unique selection of animals as well. Went on a winter day, so it wasn't very crowded, which probably helped. But very solid experience for the price. Will be back.

Went as a family last weekend and had a blast! I especially loved the interactive things and little swag like pencils and pins. The animals are amazing and able to be seen up close for most of them. Awesome zoo!

We visited again with a field trip for my daughter’s school. Everything about the Akron Zoo is great. Friendly, helpful staff, great food, and excellent layout and size. And at only $15 per adult to get in, it’s well worth the trip! Thanks!

Didn't know it would be closing as soon as it did. So we rushed around to see what we could. Definitely would come back. I love the idea of the slide through the exhibit. it just ends as soon as it goes through, so you're not expecting a plop on the ground as fast. If you receive snap, they give you a huge discount. That alone makes it a must-see for families who want to have some fun, but funds are low

Fascinating grounds and building - hard to say which I liked more. House tour was beautiful, very informative. Back in the day they not only had a kitchen garden but also a working farm to feed not only the family and guests but also the staff. The first AA meeting was held in their Gate Lodge. The gardens are gorgeous . . . . some open and spread out, others walled, private and somewhat hidden. Could definitely have wandered the grounds for hours.Hope to go back at Christmas sometime - their Deck the Halls is supposed to be very impressive.

This is a beautiful mansion/castle. I did the self-guided tour. If you want to go up the tower you have to do the Crannies and Cook tour. It took me 2 hours to tour the entire place. The museum is kid friendly. My kids completed a scavenger hunt during the tour and received a free prize at the end (it’s free). You can’t carry in a backpack even it is a purse. There are a lot of antiques so they’ll make you leave your bag somewhere I’m not sure.

Wonderful holiday light display at Deck the Halls. They had overflow parking and a shuttle. Light display on grounds amazing. The trees inside the manor house were like you entered a fairy tale. Busy but crowds flowed really well. Great job staff & volunteers!!

This place is just unbelievable.The house is huge and full of art and history. We came too late for a guided tour; however, the house was still full of friendly staff who were happy to share their knowledge of the property with us.The gardens are huge and stunning, you could easily spend hours of wandering around and not get bored. Definitely recommend visiting on a sunny day if you can.We stayed after closing hours for a live theatre play under the stars courtesy of the Ohio Shakespeare Festival, which made the visit even better!

We attended the Deck The Halls event with the dinner. The lights were beautiful, and dinner was average (not worth the price). The tour of the mansion was nice (self guided / follow the line), but would've been better if someone was there in each room explaining a bit of the history. It was good to experience once, if you haven't been there before.

Beautiful gardens. Spring and early summer flowers are in full bloom this week (May 22-28). If you are 60 or over, the self-guided tours are half-price on Tuesdays. But be sure to ask if they don’t mention it.

Our home away from home.My wife and I are here nearly every week, being members, and have yet to find a more relaxing or peaceful grounds to stroll through. Our favorite places on the grounds are the English and Japanese Gardens, as well as the Lagoon, where the Ohio Shakespeare Festival takes place in the summer with some fantastic performances. The flowers in spring, leaves in the fall, and tours of the estate year-round (especially at Christmas) are not to be missed.

We went here for free using a library pass, and after touring I would say it isn't worth coming if we had to pay.While the house is historical and is nice to see a glimpse of the past, a lot of the actual history delving goes into the life and goings on of the family who used to own and live there, and felt like a majority of just ego stroking on how rich and successful they were.The grounds were nice, and the rooms were good to look at when they went into the architecture or furnishings.

Visited this lovely home and garden on a Saturday afternoon. There were three weddings happening on the grounds that day, so at some points we did feel like we were crashing a wedding, but staff were good about directing us to where we should go for our self guided tour. The weather was extremely hot, in the mid 90s and the house was quite warm, although there were extra fans in the rooms. The map and informative brochure, along with the plaques in the rooms, provided a lot of information. Many staff members were also present to answer questions. The gardens were charming.

Impressive home and grand estate of one of the wealthiest American families - the Sieberlings of Goodyear Tire fame. Built between 1912 - 1915 the massive stone and brick buildings tiled with slate roofs are open for tours (for a fee) as well as the beautiful grounds. It's a lovely place and during the Christmas Holiday season it is decorated so well. Reserve the time it takes to see all there is and you'll find it a remarkable home to visit.

I absolutely love visiting Stan Hywet Hall!! Such a beautiful estate and lovely part of our local history. I have been many times and will go many more. One of my favorites!!

We had the best experience using Stan Hywet for our wedding ceremony and reception 5/25/24! They were very responsive, helpful and kind! Rebecca was our main coordinator and she was the best! All the day of coordinators were helpful and friendly though. I didn’t have to worry about anything day of thanks to them! They have so many ceremony spaces to choose from and a few reception spaces. Overall this place is beautiful and we would highly recommend for a wedding or other event, or just to explore the gardens or tour the inside!

Amazing page of Akron history. Didn't get to see the gardens in bloom. There were many different species of daffodils and hyacinth blooming on the edges. And the house is fantastic.

As a wedding photographer, I've worked at numerous venues, but Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron truly stands out as my favorite. The venue's charming gardens, stunning ceremony spaces, and picturesque grounds provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and portraits. Additionally, the greenhouse offers a wonderful space for portraits, especially during inclement weather and colder months.I've had the pleasure of capturing several ceremonies and numerous bridal portraits at Stan Hywet, and each time, I'm reminded of its timeless charm and elegance. This venue is truly a classic choice for any couple's special day.

Ohio Mart was so much fun! Neat experience. Wish I would’ve had more time to explore everything. The Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens are a marvel so many details very well kept. Each room is curated and feels like you are traveling back in time.

Absolutely breath taking grounds! It truly makes you feel like you're in another country. All of the gardens are meticulously cared for, and the staff are incredible! I was there for a wedding reception, and the staff made it easy to navigate the grounds, the food was delicious, and the folks who were in charge of bar tending and serving the food were skilled, attentive, and very kind. I'm actually thinking about using them as a reception hall for my wedding, now.

A step back in time every time. Never get enough of these old houses built by millionaires, there extravagant style and imported designs and furnishings are just spectacular. The history behind the house is also something of great interest and you will learn quite a bit taking a tour here.

You could spend the whole day here exploring. Lovely Gardens, play area, cafe, and house tours. We even got to hear the organs play in the music room. All of the volunteers really bring the place to life. You are definitely transported back in time when visiting.

Step back into the Midwest’s industrial era. It’s amazing to think that this home is just over 100 years old…bridging the gap between old times and a technological revolution and consumerism.

It's was a lovely afternoon with my mom in a beautiful home. The gardens and doors were my favorite.

This is hands-down one of the best house and gardens in the entire United States! Everything from the entry gates to the Children’s Garden is totally inspiring. The garden is impeccable and has one of the most iconic pieces of landscape design (the birch alleé)! I’ve visited several times and this place is always incredible each time.

Ticket prices are very reasonable considering how much the standard tour covers. Very interesting history with guides that all seem passionate about what they can teach you. Guided part of tour takes better part of two hours, and wandering the grounds afterwards could take even longer if you want.The Conservatory and tours once the Christmas decorations are up are the biggest highlights throughout the year.

The people are so kind and knowledgeable. The home is beautiful and worth touring. The history behind it is fantastic. The thought that went into the design and construction is fantastic. The woodwork is elaborate and stunning. I love how the owners considered it a home to share with others.

We went on the guided nooks and crannies tour and it was very cool and interesting. You get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Manor House and learn more about the domestic staff who worked and lived at the estate. Admission also includes self-guided tours of the Manor House, gardens, Gate Lodge and Corbin Conservatory.After the 90 minute tour we walked around the house and there were a lot of experts to tell you about the different rooms and history even if you didn't pay for the manor tour. They also had all the Christmas decorations up and it was very beautiful, even during the day.It's late fall so the gardens and grounds were not in full bloom but it was still very cool to see everything and the size of everything!

The gardens were well laid out and beautiful. Enjoyed the mansion tour too. Both of our guides were very knowledgeable and answered our many questions.

First time to the Akron Civic theater. First time in Akron. Couldn't have picked a better show to see than Garrison Keillors Prairie Home Companion. The theater is so beautiful. I am so glad it was saved from destruction. Like Garrison said " They will never build another like it.... Ever again ". Beauty and craftsmanship like this just are not built or handmade any longer... The details and beauty are amazing. The theater is simply wonderful. I highly HIGHLY recommend going to see a show or many shows in this theater. I know I will be back

This was quite the lovely venue. The lecturer whom I went see commented on how cool it looked, in addition to the “stars” lighted above the stage. There were sculptures, fake plants, and all in a Greco-Roman style, which was indeed very neat. Reasonably priced show, and good to see that it can rival some of the places in nearby Cleveland. Highly recommend, cheers.

This place has a beautiful architecture. We were mesmerized at the design. We came all the way from Michigan to see Tim Hawkins, I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed the show . It was spectacular

We went and saw Bonnie Raitt. It is a beautiful venue! The concert was amazing and the ceiling was awesome! Too bad we didn't know about the valet parking!!!! We parked for free but at our age the walk was very long! We had to stop & rest a few times!

Beautiful place for a night out, the music acoustics sounded wonderful. They had a make shift bar in the back of the room that was made to feel upperclass like the rest of the building looks. However I went for a rock concert. It's absolutely amazing that they do not treat different kinds of music concerts as less then the reputation of class this place has. The employees were so kind, making you fell 100% welcome. They even lead you to your seats. Would most definitely recommend a try and I would go again myself.

Came from Kentucky to see Logic ft Juicy J. We weren't sure what to expect from a concert at a smaller venue than normal. The Akron Civic Theatre blew away our expectations, and we absolutely loved every minute of being there. Beautiful building, with very reasonable pricing for shows.

Went to see Jodeci and had a wonderful time. So many great songs and they sang the MESS out of them all. Wasn't too fond of the opening act but I wasn't there for them either🤣🤣🤣

My sister and I came last night to see Whose Live Anyway and we had a great time!!! The parking garage was close by and the wait to get in was minimal. We had awesome seats!!! Will definitely be back to see other shows. And the grand hall is stunning!!

Honestly, the theatre is amazing, and they don't make them like this anymore! There are really inly 2 problems, parking and the fact that they are moving to digital programs. Parking is a huge pain for big events, and if it rains, you could be walking blocks in the rain before a show like we did this evening. We really missed having a paper program for the show, such a great keepsake and disappointing change.

Clean venue with options for food and drinks within walking distance. Parking wasn't horrible as I arrived fairly early, so finding space in a parking garage was easy. Entry was fast and painless despite the long line. The venue doesn't have a bad seat in the place.

Jaw dropping entrance to this very enchanting theater! Every seat location has a great view, especially section 3 on the balcony. There is plenty of parking garages nearby with very cheap rates. The whole process of arriving and leaving was smooth and easy. Would love to come to more events here!

My first time visiting and was completely blown away by the decor and architecture inside this venue. It’s very beautiful. Saw one of my fav singerssingers Keith Sweat and I completely enjoyed the seating and the view. I will be back soon for an upcoming concert event and hope to receive another great experience.

Gorgeous and so well run! Could have used a little more A/C, but it was such a fun night! The check in process was smooth, the lines moved quickly, and getting a drink during the show was painless!

The Rick James Story was a great production. I love the theatre it’s beautiful and the renovations brought it back to its original glory

We’ve been to this venue several times in the past, each time to see a band. This time we came to see Wish You Were Here, a Pink Floyd cover band. They’re great! We sat in the pit, in the very first row! It was amazing. This venue has plenty of seating and there are no bad seats. They had drinks and snacks for sale both in the hall when you come in and also in the hall where you enter the actual theater. Bathrooms were clean and located in convenient areas. This is a great venue!

My sister and I went to see Derick Hough's Symphony of Dance show, which was superb!. We drove in from a western suburb of Cleveland, so it was only an hour drive. I have been to Akron Civic Theater on several occasions and am always amazed at the beauty of this intimate theater which began as a movie theater in 1929. There is so much to see that you really need to take a tour to see all the details. "The ceiling depicts the January sky over Monaco on the Mediterranean Sea because at this time of the year it is at its brightest. " according to the theater program. We had 3rd row seats in the loge with an excellent view of the stage. Because of the lighting on the stage and the quality of my phone camera, I was not able to get good pictures, but will include a few showing our view from the stage, and a selfie showing the balcony behind us. There was a large crowd but the ticket takers were efficient and patient. We waited a few minutes before we left our seats to avoid the crowded stairs.

What an experience and it didn't break the bank, the theatre is beautiful!I enjoyed dressing up and going to a concert, however I wish they would just spend the money to switch out the seats. It is not the 1950's anymore and we need a little more space these days.

Such an amazing venue. Saw John Oliver tonight and he articulated what I have always thought about this theater. When the owner was asked what type of architectural theme they wanted, they replied with "yes" so much detail in the stage and surrounding area. Reminds you of a scene straight out of Romeo and Juliet. Seats are quite comfy but the slope of the seats is minimal towards the front of the stage. I am tall but have lots of leg room, which is a huge win for me. I do try and slouch so I don't block those sitting two or three rows behind me though.

We went here to watch the Pink Floyd tribute band. Wish you were here. And they were absolutely amazing. This venue is incredible. The handcrafted custom carpentry and wood work that is present throughout the entire facility is nothing short of exquisite. Clearly, it’s been well-maintained and Upgrade in three years and the venue is perfect for shows of this nature. The bathrooms are clean. The staff was nice and the vendors were great. We are looking forward to coming back this venue for another show. Not only is the place extremely cool, but it’s close to so many other good restaurants and bars and makes it a perfect fit for shows like this.

Nice visiting center, well staffed.Trails are nice, better that admission is free. Didn’t get too far on mu first visit, got rained on.One water fall is closer to the visitor center, the others are out farther. There are a few overflow parking lots.Bathrooms in and outside the visitor center. None on trails.

We stopped here to stretch our legs during a road trip, so we didn’t get to explore a ton of the park. We did a quick walk to Brandywine Falls. There is a loop trail that we would have done if we had more time; however the boardwalk was a short walk from the parking lot.The visitor center is nice and has ice cream, several different maps of the park, and a gift shop. The park rangers were incredibly helpful and were happy to answer all our questions. As expected from a National park, it covers a large area, but on the small side for a national park. We are looking forward to a planned visit where we can spend more time. The towpath trail is great for bikes! In fact, this park is bike friendly and the path was buzzing with activity.It is close to I-80, and easy to find. The two bathrooms we saw had water filling stations, which is great!

Great national park located near Cleveland. Picturesque rolling forested hills with beautiful river and wetland features. The water falls are definitely worth visiting. This park is very close to urban areas so there is no shortage of food and lodging near by.

I was surprised at how much we actually enjoyed this National Park and finding out how and why it became a Park. There are lots of hiking trails along with little towns. Biking is very popular and they are rented in town. We hiked the Brandywine waterfall, and it was impressive after the rain. I can understand why it is so busy. It is extremely accessible to everyone.

This park has so many nice things to see! I loved the waterfall, the covered bridge, and the marshes.Can't wait to come back and ride the Train.

This is the only National Park that we have in Ohio! What a natural beauty! Great for walking , running, biking, fishing, camping and picnicking!! There are several hiking trails throughout the park! No entrance fee!

BEAUTIFUL! There are dozens of trails that you can find along this national park ranging short-long, easy-hard, hike/bike. Many trails are kid friendly and we see families out all the time. Get outside!

We visited Brandywine Falls and did the trail. Beautiful waterfall and hike, easy and most of it in shade from the beautiful old trees. We loved stopping on our hike and walking on the fresh cold water, just be careful it's slippery!

Such a fantastic area with many natural and man made wonders. I don't even think you notice the beauty if you are up on one of the interstate bridges. I'm still blown away that this is only half an hour outside of Cleveland. I will certainly have to return with more time to explore.

A very average place. If you must go there just to collect the stamp then understandable otherwise save yourself a trip. Avoid the train ride at any cost. It’s rip off, no scenic views and I bought the $45 tickets in upgraded coach but I noticed during the train ride anyone can enter into your coach and seat wherever they please as there’s no checking once you board the train. Also indoors are not so clean and I promise you it’s not worth your time and money to do the train ride. I went there during summer of 2023(June) maybe it has to offer better during other seasons but I won’t go back there for sure!

It's nice enough, but I don't think it's National Park quality. In my opinion, it's not large enough, nor is it naturally interesting enough to be a National Park. I enjoyed my hiking there. I checked out Brandywine Falls after heavy rain. Not a bad place, just not National Park quality in my opinion.

The ledges loop is a beautiful easy short hike. The rock formations are spectacular. You could spend an hour or make a day of it.

This has been my backyard since I was a baby. I never fully appreciated being able to go into the National Park any time I pleased until I was older. Now since traveling the U.S and visiting other National Parks I am even more grateful for CVNP. It's free! Free to enter and free to park. You can explore just about anywhere. There is so much to do and see. Waterfalls. Scenic railroad. Caves. The canal. Rock formations. Ledges. Cute visitor centers. Fall colors in the fall time. I can't say enough good things about this clean and gorgeous park.

Surely not my fav national park but a lovely little green space in Ohio. The falls and cliffs are cool. Reminds me of Hocking Hills! I wish the visitor center had more information. Highly recommend!

Ledges Trail has awesome rock formations. A must visit place when in eastern Ohio. It is not a hard trail. Beginners or kids can easily do it. We as a family with 7 year twins, love this place. It is close enough to Hudson, OH where you will find plenty of Restaurants.

Walking trails were goodAfter parking vehicles at the visitor center, we walked 2+ miles to reach the water falls area.If it is rainy, please be careful before planning. Alternatively there is a driveway directly to the hilltop, where we can see the start of the waterfall

Our visit to CVNP was great. We stopped by the ranger station first to get our bearings, and from there , we visited Beaver Marsh and then hiked Standford trail to Brandywine Falls. Excellent day, can't wait to return.

This was a wine train excursion that boarded in Akron Ohio. The staff was great as were the other passengers. But there was lack of communication and boarding confusion. The train left about 45 minutes late so the ride back was in the dark. This post pandemic wine train was lack luster compared to the 2018 trip we took. Less wine and food, no music or party lights and no dancing in the isles due to new federal railroad regulations, we were told. Sadly this will be our last wine train as ticket cost has substantially increased but the experience is a shadow of what it was.

Enjoyable trip with the family. You can spend lots of time and hike for miles or location hop and see Wonderful sites with mild-moderate hikes. Great for pets as well.

Beautiful park with great trails for walking, biking, and horseback riding!! Rangers are friendly and helpful. Everything is very well maintained and mostly accessible for all!! Definitely recommend brandywine falls and the beaver marsh walks!!! I haven't done ledges yet, but I have heard all good things about it!

Absolutely gorgeous area! One of the prettiest walks I've ever been on! Walked over 5 miles and would love to come back and walk even farther. There is so much to explore there! If you have the time to check it out you definitely won't regret it!

We Love 💕 This Valley. I've Hiked here for 53 years, We are Unfortunately losing a lot of Our Beautiful Trees because of Climate Change, which has brought and enabled insects to kill them. I have been documenting the changes and damage from these insects every Year thru photos since 2015. I Hope Our Trees will survive this somehow, but 2024 is the worst I've seen.

Awesome park with tons to do and see. Had my bike and rod all over the area. Would definitely recommend for anyone that wants a good hike or bike ride. Even saw a eagle flying by

This National Park is different from the many others we have visited. It's our second urban park. However even in that category it was different from the Hot Springs National Park. You get a map and then you input the addresses into your GPS and drive to each area. We were on a schedule so we went to the water falls and beaver marsh. Both are very accessible for all ages. Both had a board walk. My girls 10 and 6 loved it. We will definitely be going back for more exploring

We visited Cuyahoga Valley NP during a long Father's Day weekend trip to Ohio and spent most of two days in and around the park. There are some beautiful, serene places in the park for sure. As far as National Parks go, this one is a bit unconventional with so many people living up close to or within park boundaries. The history of the area was neat to learn about, and I would imagine living near the park would make it the perfect place to walk, run, or ride a bike regularly. I can't say it took my breath away like Yosemite, but any National Park is still a win in my book!

We only spent one day here and had a wonderful time enjoying the views! We visited Brandwine Falls and hiked along some of the trails. Well maintained, very friendly staff, and easy to navigate.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a win for families! Easy hikes like Brandywine Falls and interactive exhibits at the Boston Mills Center keep young explorers engaged. Rent bikes for a scenic ride along the historic Towpath Trail, soaking up the park's natural beauty. It's a perfect escape for creating lasting family memories.

The park extends from Canton Ohio to Cleveland Ohio and communities in between. I spend a lot of time here. It is wonderful and beautiful. It is one of America's largest National parks. Whether you are looking for a day trip or various recreation and exercise. This is a go-to must-have place. There are public performances and events. Snack shops, souvenir shops, visitor centers. I even have taken a 60 mile bicycle ride on the many bicycle paths.

This is a vast National Park with many, many trails that are well laid out & easy to navigate. There are a lot of hotels within a 10 min drive if the park too and best of all, the park is FREE!! There are woodlands, wetlands, waterfalls & wildlife in the park! There is also a train, the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad that runs a two hour trip thru the park!

LOVED this park! Safe, quiet, beautiful! Nice scenery! Signs, directions, and good bathroom locations. Bathrooms were very clean. I would go everyday if I lived there.

We traveled from New Jersey to the park and it was a super easy drive ! We hadn’t heard much about this park and the few things we did hear weren’t great but we wanted to see for ourselves. We were not disappointed whatsoever. What a beautiful place. Tons of trails and they are all very close to drive to so you can do a lot in one day. Lots of wildlife and waterfalls which are our favorite things ! The park rangers were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this park if you are close to Ohio. We will absolutely be back ! Ledges, blue hen and brandy wine are some top trails to explore!

The atmosphere is picturesque! It is not an extensive menu, but it is a "winery" foremost. The food and service were good. We ordered the Maize Melt sandwich and pea salad (loved it!). They have music BINGO on Wednesday and Friday (that was a lot of fun). They have a nice selection of craft beer, too.

It was our second time here,it brought back a lot of good memories from the last time we were here with my father in law. Lots of gluten-free menu options. Very good wine selection. Live band on Saturday night. We had a wonderful time.

The food is much like the Pine Barn in Wooster, except this place is in my own back yard! Menu is great. Food is great! Wine choices are great! We came during the Lavender Festival & Maker's Market. We toured all the booths as a guitar man performed on the grassy knoll. We ventured into the lavender field with my daughter who had a birthday today and took many pics of her in her lavender dress cutting a lavender bunch to take home. It was magical for this dad's heart. Maize Valley has many, many activities throughout the year. Next one up, the Sunflower Festival! I highly recommend this place in Stark County.

Actually came here for a car show. Beautiful place, nice indoor and outdoor spaces. A store with different meats, beers, and wines. Both beers we tried tasted excellent, and the food was very good as well. We will return to try different menu items and beers.

Just enjoyed an evening at Maize Valley for one of their summer concerts. Had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the band NFNJ. I also enjoyed their sweet redneck red wine, Korean BBQ tacos, and a salted caramel cookie.Nice and relaxing time, will be coming again.

This was a nice change of pace from the insanity of the Flea Market! Decent food and great beer. Came here with the whole family. Kids really liked the goats, who were friendly and eager to get pets. The only disappointment was one of the main reasons we came here was the playground for the kids, but for some reason it was not open. We could see it behind the goats, and it looked awesome, but all of the gates were locked. Not sure if it's only open for special events or at certain times but hopefully it will be open for our next visit.

We enjoy visiting during different seasons. The Fall is fun with the different activities. We most recently went to the lavender field and picked lavender. The grounds are well taken care of and it is family friendly.

We had a fantastic time at the eclipse watch party at Maize Valley! The kids could run around the grassy area while the grownups relaxed. The pizza was a big hit and I got to try a new-to- me wine, Middle of the Road. I can't say enough good things about the service and accommodations of the event. The kids called "The best day ever"!When we returned home, I had a question about wine we had purchased and contacted them via the website. My question was answered thoroughly and with kindness.Highly recommend!!

was expecting so much more from this place. we just moved to the area and have drove past many times and thought to give it a try. wine slushy was GREAT but our food was TERRIBLE. do not come here expecting a good meal you will be disappointed. $18 for a burger that we didn’t even eat.

Attended the Lavender Festival this year. Very nice. Something different to do. Loved picking the Lavender. Next year I will wear a good protective hat so I can stay out in the fields longer. Also more money.There are alot of wonderful vendors out there. The food trucks were great! Loved the Green Vegetarian food truck!Will definitely attend again next year!

This is a very unique idea. You can pick pumpkins, drink wine, have some craft beer and eat food all at the same place.They have a great beer selection. I would say one of the tops in the area.The service was excellent, and the bartenders knew their beer inside and out. Not your typical bar setting though. Grab yourself a craft brewing sit down like you're in your living room.They also have a gift shop and deli meat counter. Definitely worth the drive.

I was impressed by the wide variety of choices (ie wine, wine slushies, beer and food)! We ordered the donut shortcake and I would drive the 35 minutes back just for that! Inside the winery was quaint and rustic.

Really nice place to have a bottle of wine and enjoy the day or night. I typically am not a fan of Ohio wines as they are too sweet for me but i found a new favorite here (sinfully red). Highly recommend you try this wine.

Don't miss this GEM of a winery. HUGE selection of their incredibly made wines and beers. The food and employees are top notch and the owner Bill allowed us to spend the night with our camper on the property. The are also Harvest Hosts. This is a MUST stop winery! Life is NOW....Live it!

What a nice little place. We went during the car show which was really nice. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. The food and service at the restaurant was very good. The staff was very friendly and made our whole family feel welcome. The beer and wine selection was very good and the patio was the perfect place to spend a cool afternoon early evening. The kids loved the goats and chickens and spent a good amount of time on the playground exploring the tires and slides. They loved it and are excited to plan our next trip out there. Overall, a great time and we will definitely head back.

Brought my mom here after she kept sending me screenshots of the milkshakes haha. Everything was great. We sat outside and w joked the view of the farm and goats. They give you a little ticket to hang up of you need service, which I liked because then you don't have someone coming up to your table 50 times asking if you need anything. Our server was an absolute sweet heart. The food was all great. Everything was sooooo fresh. Veggies were bright and full of color. It made a big difference. Even the milkshake tasted fresh haha. Will definitely be going back.

Today is The Kentucky Derby,The hats were awesome and the amount of people in attendance was phenomenal. The Band sounds great and they had a good range of food to offer on food trucks

Very surprised there are NO love dealers but a compact casino filled with games from penny slots to lose your top. The beverage areas was one of the coolest things I saw.

This was a great place and my first time visiting. The food at the bar was delicious and the drinks were great. Although I'm not a gambler the slots were really fun. Can't wait to go back.

I'm not a gambler; I went to the MGM Northfield Center Stage to see Gary Clark, Jr. - AMAZING concert with an unforgettable performance from him! I was able to grab great seats for this event and it was money well spent. The staff was very organized and helpful and the stage itself allowed for great first/second row visibility without too much neck strain or discomfort.The ONLY reason why I can't give it five stars is because of the seat spacing: we were packed in there like sardines. Even though the seats themselves were comfortable the neighboring concertgoers and myself all had to shift ourselves a bit too often to accommodate for the lack of space.

I enjoyed my birthday lunch at the buffet. The staff sang Happy Birthday and presented me with birthday cake and ice cream. 🍰 🎈If you love apple pie or strudel get some with vanilla bean ice cream with warm caramel topping. 😋Cece was our server who made sure we felt special and catered to. Well done. She is truly a people person.

Fantastic show and food. Went to see a comedian Tom Sugura. Best show of all his specials. Absolutely hilarious the entire time.

Went to see Tom Jones Concert. Seats are basically folding chairs and somewhat narrow. They do not control the crowd as we had lots of people up and down the aisle throughout the performance. The casino area is small but definitely has lots of tables and slots.

I'm not a big casino person, but the club is beautiful and many beautiful people were there. I attended with a friend the Chaka Khan concert. The staff treated us well and security was very visible. The concert ended without a hitch. For the casino part, the casino has all the expected amenities and get this--free parking!

I always leave my money behind with a smile on my face.Eventually I my leave will some money in my pocket.TAP Sports Bar is spot on food and service every time. Well worth the trip.

The casino is normally a great time with great service. The slots seem to pay out on the low side most days except Saturday. The food has been pretty awesome for a casino. I also enjoy the kiosk games when you swipe your players card. Good stuff.

Loved it this time I won. Lol but in all truthfulness was clean but they don't have many of the keno machines we like I feel you should have the choice to play 1-4 on every machine or at least all the keno on one machine, so I don't have to try and hop around to try and find a machine to my liking.

So busy! But lost my $100 limit in about 15 minutes. That's why I don't gamble! But, what a fun place to be. It was a wonderful night!

Concert/event venue located directly inside of the casino. Purchased last minute tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. This was our first time at this venue. The security and staff directed the crowd through the various site safety measures with ease. There really was not a bad seat in the house. Here are some pics from our seating - section 2 row X. Seats were a little tight and you will certainly make friends with a neighbor pretty quickly. Lots of getting up and sitting down. Narrow isles. Alcohol, water and typical concert snacks were available. Free parking.

Always a fun place to gamble. This casino does NOT have card tables, just slots. Has a couple restaurants, a bar, and complimentary coffee and soda. Plenty of parking, the parking lot is lit up pretty good at night. As always casinos are designed to take your money, but you do get lucky once in a while.

I always meet my brother here from Michigan. We hang out and gamble for a little bit. But lately have not been winning nowhere near like I used to at this location . And they don't give as good as bonuses as Hollywood does

This Buffet just opened up about 4 weeks ago. The selection of good is really fantastic and was beyond our expectations. The chefs were amazing, and they knew their food selection really well, and when you they explained it to you in detailChef Red by far is the best at this buffet and has excellent cooking skills and customer service

I love going to MGM to have fun. The payout isn't always the greatest but the atmosphere is wonderful. The employees are super nice and assistant you the best way possible. If they don't know the answer, they will find someone who does.When cashing in a ticket that has to have the taxes withheld does take an extra long time. I wish they wouldn't make people wait 30+ minutes to get paid. Also, the bottles of beer went up another dollar $6 for a regular beer is kinda high IMO. Other than that, I would recommend going but don't expect to hit anything worth talking about. The machines are definitely tight on the weekends.

This place is still fun. Went in and cruised the place. Found different slots to play . Was very busy for the holiday. Clean, all services available and eateries open. Greeted upon entry. Great local place for gambling fun!

This is a top notch facility from practice green to the clubhouse. It is beautiful all around, and even more so with the fall colors. The greens were to best I've played on all year - fast and true. The island green hole is the signature hole, but the 600 yard par 5 is a close second. The only complaint I have is the pace of play. They shouldn't book tee times in the morning when they know there is going to be frost. The 2 hour delay backed up the entire course - and I teed off at 2 pm! Other than that, highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back.

Played boulder creek last Saturday at 1:20 pm. Boulder creek is the best course in Ohio hands down. Fairways were spectacular. Greens tough but rolled so true. Lay out of the course was amazing. I will be back many more rounds

Honestly it’s a very nice course, but management and pace of play means something. Took us close to four hours to finish the back 9 and that’s because they allow 8 to play without being monitored. Simply unacceptable on a busy Saturday for any golf course.

One of the best course in the greater Cleveland area. The layout is so fun and very scenic. Maintenance seems to be missing something compare to last year. Hopefully, they are not trying to hoard all the profits and not put it back into the course. $75 a round is steep but worth it. The course needs a little more attention from management.

Amazing golf course. One of my favorites in the COUNTRY, not just Ohio! I drive from Michigan to play here as often as I can and usually have a fun tournament with friends at this course. The conditions are stunning and the track is challenging and fun. The staff is pleasant and the starters are very knowledgeable. I’d recommend this to anyone in the Midwest. The drive is worth it - make the trip!

Great shape for as much rain the area has had! Greens were soft, smooth, and fast. The desk staff were super courteous.The maintenance people were busy and definitely working their tails off to keep this property looking great and in super condition.Can’t wait to play here again.

Course was in great shape, no drink carts on course though, snack shack had no ice(94 degree day) and no rangers on course to push pace of play. Took 5 hrs and 40 min to play 18. We waited 5+ minutes on nearly every shot. Golf was great, but the experience was diminished a bit.

Course was in great shape. Challenging layout with some great scenery. Greens held shots and rolled smooth (people please fix your ball marks... This is not a course issue).

They let a group of four out in front of us on the back 9 and we were the first tee time in the morning on a Saturday.they added an hour to our play time as the first group out. Called the starter/ranger twice and he did not do anything. Will not play here again.

A group of 8 of us played today June 23rd and highly disappointed. Fairways were burnt and the greens were terrible with divots all over them. It was not worth $80 to play this course. Nice layout but not maintained for a course with good reviews. I would think about playing it again in the fall if the price was cut in half to see if it was in better condition.

This course is absolutely phenomenal! I've passed this course so many times, and finally got the chance to play and it did not disappoint.The layout was challenging but fair. The condition of the course is immaculate. Simply beautiful.Walking off the 9th green the thought crossed my mind that I should move closer to the course so I could play it regularly.You must play this course!

We had my daughter’s bridal shower here on 3/10/2024 and Michelle coordinated it with me and did a fabulous job. Everything went smoothly with her expertise and kindness. She was very attentive to everyone’s needs and the guests were completely satisfied. Would recommend Michelle and this restaurant to anyone. Wonderful experience!!

Absolutely the slowest play I have ever played. Slower here on a Monday than Manakiki on a Sunday during a holiday. Zero ranger keeping pace of play. No one coming around the course with beverages and the average round is 6 hours. Beautiful course if there was pace of play.

Great course for the price. Greens are not in great shape yet and there’s still a fair amount of GUR, but the views are fantastic and the blue tees are a decent challenge for a once a month player. Would definitely go back now with local knowledge of the holes.

Absolutely gorgeous course. Was my second time playing there was very skeptical at first because a lot of the reviews were saying that the pace of play wasn’t very good and me and the 3 people i golf with always crack down 18’s in 3 hours usually 😂😂 but we played a 5 hour 18 with and honestly it felt very comfortable the people in front of us were teed off almost every time we approached the next hole. You gotta expect coming to a course like this one you might get a lengthy 18 but what’s wrong with that? Gives you more time to spend with your friends and just enjoy the sun and a couple more beers doesn’t hurt anyone 😏😏 and plus get to view nothing short of an absolute gorgeous course! Love boulder Creek

Absolutely gorgeous course!! Best and most challenging course we have ever played. Fairy new to the game and decided to treat ourselves to a top ranked course. Did not disappoint. We were pretty humbled but could not get frustrated because of the sheer beauty.

Love this waterfall in the middle of the town! It’s beautiful. You can climb several steps down to a bench to sit, or continue climbing down some rock steps and go all the way to the waters edge. Such a peaceful place.

The most picturesque Village in Ohio, Chagrin Falls is well known for its cascading waterfalls, which flow through the downtown area. Lining the streets are historic buildings, over 50 independent storefronts featuring vintage and antique stores, and an abundance of restaurants and cafes.

This is a beautiful waterfall! It is in the heart of downtown Chagrin. There was free, 3 hr parking on the street. This waterfall is handicapped accessible, as you can see it from the sidewalk. There are steps to go down if you want a closer view. It's a quaint town with lots of shops of various interests such as art, clothing, books, ice cream, popcorn, Starbucks and dining. Note: there is construction going on but it didn't seem to interfere with us viewing the falls. (June 2024)

This place was beautiful! Nice little hidden jem! Cute little town. The waterfall has stairs to get down to it. Not very long stairs. But no wheelchair/stroller access to the falls. Although there is a restaurant on the other side you could get an amazing look at as well!!

Quaint little falls. The river winds through the city and you can walk down it if you have the agility and a good pair of waterproof boots. Lots of old rocks and fossils and bits of history lining the Chagrin River. Really peaceful to sit beside.

A lovely chilly day. A bit of snow falls from the sky but I am dressed warm so that doesn't bother me. I look down upon the falls and enjoy the show for a few minutes. A scent of steak is in the air from a local restaurant. What memories.

My boyfriend and I went out for brunch, and it was absolutely amazing. Their are so many different options in walking distance. They also have a lot of parking. The falls are breathtaking.

We stayed at the campground for three nights and loved it!Clean, really nice workers, our spot was big enough, and really nice bathrooms. People are very respectful to other campers and no craziness at night.Super dog friendly, which is important to us. Dog park right outside of the park. There is another one, but it is over a mile walk to get there and our oldest dog would never make it.Beautiful place!

I stayed here mid-August, arriving just after a spate of rainstorms. I found my reserved site had been spread with straw, so I wouldn't have to tromp around in the mud. This kind of stewardship is rather amazing in today's world and I would like to thank the park staff for their thoughtfulness. I was visiting friends and the nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park and found the campground at West Branch to be the perfect place to begin and end my days. The sites are clean and well-tended, the bath houses are super clean with showers and LAUNDRY facilities, and the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Add this to the beauty of this park and you have yourself a 5-star campground.

Easily my favorite lake to take the boat out on. Beautiful lake everywhere you go on it. Wish i had gotten our more to fish but i still enjoyed my time. The park also features a nice campground and I like the boat ramps.

Great place, perfect for kayaking and seeing beautiful sunsets. Highly recommended for nature lovers. Plenty of walking trails and great for fishing as well!

This state park has a lot for a lot of different types of activities. Boating, fishing, hiking, picnic areas, a dog park, a playground, and a visitor's center. The abundance of amenities coupled with the fact that the trails here are actually very good, gives this place the highest rating. All of the trails have their own charm, but if you're only going for a short distance, the lake trail is probably the one to hit up. The bike trail will give you more seclusion and more wildlife, as long as there aren't bikers on the day you come. I think most people should have a good time here.

I have enjoyed countless hours and days in this peaceful and relaxing, beautiful and diverse Ohio State Park. Located near Ravenna, around the 2,650 acre Micheal J Kirwan Reservoir, West Branch has a lot to offer. Enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, picnicking, fishing, boating, Disc Golf and so much more. Bridle trails for the Equestrian campsites are separate from hiking, mountain biking and snowmobile trails. Hike or bike on the reservoir dam. Spend a few hours or a few days!

One of our favorite parks ❤️great bathrooms... Separate shower rooms with actual doors and plenty of shelves for your stuff.. probably the best bathrooms at any stae parks.. pa.. Ohio.. we have stayed at..places to wash dishes .huge plus .. Not really any bad sites .. just some better ones😁a little messy when it rains but hey.. your camping😁

This was the nicest state park I have visited in a very long time. The staff was pleasant and professional, The restrooms were clean. The campground was exceptionally maintained. And the lake was amazing.

This was our first camping trip in close to 40 years. What a perfect place for our first adventure as retired campers. Beautiful site, beautiful view. Fishing, muskrat watching, taking in the beautiful views that God created. Restrooms and showers rooms very clean, well maintained and plentiful.The campground is pet friendly and our doggie enjoyed his stay also.The lady in the store at the main entrance was very helpul and kind.Definitely will be back.

We camp at West Branch State park several times a year. It is close, wooded and convenient. We enjoy the wooded sites, the well stocked camp store and clean/upgraded shower houses. If they added wifi and kayak ramps at the dock it would be close to perfect for us.

Beautiful day for a quick hike today. Walked along the lake and did the Deer Lick Trail. A bit muddy, but not too bad.

Our first experience at this park was fantastic!!!! All park employees and camp hosts were nice and welcoming. The wildlife that visited our site was also friendly. This park is beautiful! The campground beach is a bit small and the public beach is a good distance away.We did some exploring nearby. Downtown Ravenna was fun going through the shops in while historic buildings. And I highly recommend Guido's Pizza. All food we tried was great.Also Allience isn't far away. We toured Glamorgan Castle!We will return to this park

As campers from Colorado, this was perfect for our cross country trip. Simply amazing. Clean, open, well kept. We loved it.

Site 57. West Branch is a nice place but every site is different. Some great spots, some good spots and some you shouldn’t ever book like site 57. We couldn’t use the main area at all. It was all mush. I understand rain can cause some issues but it’s a problem spot that needs fixed. We walked around and we only saw one other site that had mush like ours site 117. I thought maybe the office would refund us one night stay but they said it’s against their policy. They said it’s against their policy to use hay but said I can go buy some and put it down. It wouldn’t have worked. The spot was like quicksand. Looked like cows walked in in.

Very relaxing atmosphere, get ready to kick back and relax camping. Excellent shower facilities, nice to have a dish washing station at the front of the shower house. Just be sure you can back your RV into the many back in lots. Some of them are in a curved road making it extra challenging. There's a few lots that are pull thru but they get taken up quickly.

This is a lovely campground. Just wanted to share in case it helps anyone else, some of the RV spots seem to be mislabeled. We were in spot 22 which IS a very long spot however it’s rated for a 66 foot but it is on a steep angle with trees very close to the front of the spot so we had great difficulty getting our 42 foot fifth wheel in and out without hitting trees. We were also unable to get our fifth wheel level due to the significant angle of the site. Wouldn’t put anything longer than 38 feet here for this reason. We were also driving around and noticed online site 11 is rated for 55 feet but the spot was maybe only large enough for a 12 foot vehicle!! So big rigs be careful when booking. Otherwise it was quiet and secluded.

I absolutely love West Branch but the horseman’s camp is going downhill due to lack of rule enforcement.Fires are left burning, trash and discarded camping items. Fire pits are not being cleaned. They are loaded with ashes and garbage.Large groups are staying on one site. This was 6/8 - 6/9/2024. Multiple tents, vehicles and people. They parked under the tie lines. Our horses stand there. They don’t need to stand in tire ruts!And people that have a site are just randomly placing their tents wherever they feel like.It’s ridiculous. If the state parks must allow regular camper to stay at the horse camp then police it like the main camp.Not only is the camp losing money but it’s going to get worse the more it is ignored.

Great park, laid back camp hosts, friendly people, really nice heated bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Lots of places to walk and fish. Definitely one of the best we've been to.

Great park only gave it a 3 star because bathhouse did not have hot water for 10 out of my 14 day stay.

It was super fun the kids loved that they had a park and a beach and they also had an ice cream social while we were there it was delicious they also have a screen for like movie nights it was awesome!

Nice small camp ground, very nice staff. Will recommend to anyone.Dog friendly. Pet friendly.Other campers were super nice as well.Lake was gorgeous but over fished. Shore could use some work to attract shore fishers and not just boaters.Bathroom was clean. Maintenance was doing a good job.

They have a really nice little canoe launch! Love to take my inflatable boat here and launch. Everything from the bridge west is no wake, so the experience is much nicer than at a lake where the power boats all try to run you down. We also checked out the beach part of the park today and it was impressive. They have a great beach, with nice restrooms, picnic tables, a play area, and a place to rinse off your feet and your belongings! Next time we go we might check out some of the trails. Highly recommend!

Hot week, camped here for the weekend. This place has changed alot in 10 years! Spacious sites, updated showerhouses, camp activities and beautiful clean lake and beaches! Beautiful! We'll be back!

We were visiting friends in the area for a few days and decided to fit in a stop here. Took the free tour. The house/furnishings are amazing... and the grounds are beautiful. Especially loved the weeping beech tree! Our kids (10 & 9) did the junior ranger activity which gave them a scavenger hunt type challenge which helped keep them engaged. Highly recommend 😀

I’ve lived in Mentor my whole life, and I finally decided to visit the James A. Garfield Historical Site as an adult. What a wonderful experience! The tour was fantastic, and everything was in great shape. The history here is incredibly rich and well-preserved. It’s a gem for out-of-towners, but it’s also something locals shouldn’t overlook. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for something interesting to do, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Stopped here on Saturday morning. Grounds are immaculately kept. There is a walking tour and you can dial in on the phone for a comprehensive narration. We were made aware, by another visitor, that this location has the BARK Ranger program, so we signed up our little Chihuahua. We absolutely loved that part. We were pressed on time for a tor of the house which I’m sure was a fabulous tour. Peeking through the windows, it looked equally neatly kept inside as the outside.Enjoyed our stop and walking tour of the grounds!

I really enjoyed getting to know about James A Garfield and his property! It’s a very beautiful historic site with lots to see as you walk around! Make sure you bring your passport book to get all the stamps it can offer!

Wonderful, friendly staff! The whole place is free to visit and open seven days a week from May through November. The house tour is about 45 minutes long and shows a great example of an 1880s Victorian mansion. On the ranger-led tour, you will also learn all about the life if America’s 20th President, James A. Garfield and his family. The site is part of the National Park Service and also participates in the B.A.R.K. Ranger program where your dog can earn a badge!

You have to visit this place if you are nearby. What a well curated historic site! We did a tour Sunday afternoon. The ranger who guided us was so informative, gave us so much details and insightful comments about the life of President Garfield and the political life in Ohio that we really got immersed in what it would mean to be a politician at that time. I appreciated a lot that the tour considered the interest of my kids as well as let them be curious. The ranger asked them for what they could see around, their opinions. This means so much when you see our youth being so low on community/politics engagement!Around the museum there's a path with plenty of information about the historical site while the inside of the house show a collection of items curated by Lucretia Garfield, his wife. Her passion is at every inch of this place. The "bunker" she designed for the memory of his husband is impressive.As a side comment, I feel pleased that the tour included a detailed description about why President Garfield wrote a handwriting letter to Eliza Ballou Garfield, his mom, after he was shot in 1881. I always tells my kids that if they can't write or learn how to read cursive they will miss a big chunk of history first hand that only can be perceived by reading old letters by themselves. I think they got the message. :) Thanks to all of the workers at this historical place for your service.

Nice historic site, due to social distancing they reduced the amount of tours per day so we couldn't go in the house. Very informative and lots to see otherwise. They have a cell phone tour of the grounds and a small visitor center/museum

We really enjoyed our private tour of Garfield’s house by tour guide Pat. She focused on their family life and was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the time period as well as the family of a lessor known president. Only historical house we’ve ever toured that is run by the national park system and was free admission which was a nice surprise. Definitely worth a visit!

I had the privilege of visiting the James A. Garfield National Historic Site (hereinafter "Garfield house") on Sunday, May 7th, 2023. I went with my brother and my sister. We arrived around 10:40. The area was very accessible, with plenty of parking. We went to the visitor center first. The attendant greeted us and informed us about the tours. Although the next tour wasn't until 11:30, she was able to have us join the tour that started 10 minutes previously. A ranger guided us to the Garfield house, where we joined the small tour. Alex Murray (also a ranger) was our tour guide, and with his vast knowledge and subtle sense of humor, he did a phenomenal job. The tour in the house was about 45-50 minutes long. He explained many details to us, and took our picture at the end by the stairwell. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The site is very well-maintained, and the staff does a phenomenal job. If I could give Alex and the Garfield house more than five stars, I'd happily do so.

This was our second trip to Ohio to visit Historic Kirtland this year (The first was for the 2024 Solar Eclipse) and our third side quest.We love history, and when we realized Historic Kirtland wasn't going to be open early Sunday morning, we found this site near to where we were staying and immediately planned to spend the morning there. The park ranger that guided our tour was able to take our group early, and was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He was especially good at helping us not just learn about this history, but also identify with and be apart of the family.We're very thankful for the work and service that has been put into preserving and caring for this piece of history.

I got here within 45 minutes of closing so just visited the visitors center and did the junior ranger program. I finished with 3 minutes to spare befor the 5.00 closing time. The pictured are of inside the visitors center. sorry about that. I will have to come back to do a good visit. The rangers were very helpfull.

This is one of the best historical experiences I have ever had. Garfield suffered a tragic death. His life is worth remembering. I'm reading Destiny of the Republic by Candace Millard to learn more about him. This historical site is a must-see. If you have young ones, ask for the junior ranger book before you take the tour!

Great learning experience!! I gained so much information about President Garfield while attending his former home in Mentor. This National Historical site was very well laid out and the Rangers and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour of Garfields home allowed us to view almost the entire house. We also got a glimpse into some of his family’s personal life experiences and the work that former First Lady Lucretia Garfield carried on throughout her life after his death. Highly recommend!

One of the best tours we had in any of the President's houses in the country. The lady that gave the tour has a degree in history and is very passioned about the history of the President and his family. Thank you for having us.

We took a tour that the national park service offers for free of President James Garfield's home. The tour starts in the visitor center and lasts about an hour. It's a beautifully preserved home with a lot of his family's original furnishings still in the house and it's also the site of the first presidential library.

A great place to visit. Very historical. Exhibits are first class and the house tour is very informative. The tour is free.The grounds are kept up perfectly.

Another wonderful NPS site tour. Ranger Alan was very informative and provided just the right balance of information on the house and family. He even fielded a wealth of questions from the junior rangers on our tour very efficiently! The house is well preserved and restored. I learned so much about Garfield that I didn’t know before arriving. Our pup also received her BARK Ranger badge and certificate at the visitor center. The tours on the day we visited were scheduled each our at the :45 mark and lasted about 45 min.

What a phenomenal place to behold the beauty in nature! The kids had a blast with the zip line and train exhibits, the tower is marvelous, and the flowers everywhere are beautiful! Animal tracks, wilderness games and climbing, long or short hikes, and clean facilities made this a place we will definitely return to. The staff was great and there is so much to see! As a first-time guest, please note that your entrance is to the right of the ticket booth (that was somewhat confusing and overly complicated), and that the library's rare book "exhibit" is a ton of books in a glass room. I think an appointment can be made to see them up close, but call for details.

A 100% must visit if you love flowers, lakes, and nature trails. Super clean and well kept, with lots of short trails any member of the family could complete as a chill stroll through some lovely flowers along tiny lakes scattered throughout the park. Along each trail there are quaint wooden benches to rest. There are lots of geese and fish in each of the tiny lakes, and there are some canopy areas for larger groups. The prices are not that bad and if needed reserved areas can be booked for special occassions. The restrooms are some of the cleanest I've seen and they allow pets provided you clean up after them. Their picnic and BBQ grilling area is really lovely as well, with lots of tables under some shaded trees along a small lake. The weekends are probably thr busiest, but still worth the scenic drive to get there. Their friendly staff are all amazing as well.100% recommend!

This is my favorite place on earth.Go. Just go.I think I'm finally going to buy a membership in 2023. I live about an hour away but each time I go it's a new adventure, something to see around every corner. I've visited during every season and love it more each time.So many events going on, ample parking, and the absolute best way to spend an entire day. Bring a picnic and enjoy everything Holden has to offer!!

Beautiful gardens, meticulously maintained grounds, impressive Lego displays perfectly displayed throughout the property. Amazing views from the tree top tower! We came on a day with food trucks and vendors in the front green space area. Otherwise you should plan on bringing a picnic basket. One other thing, their Lilly pad flowers are pink, not white, we've never seen that before.

What a wonderful experience! This is something for everyone and of all ages. They have guided tours on carts for those who don't want to walk. We walked 4 miles total on the day and didn't even actually make it entirely around everything. We did get to see and enjoy most of it, however. There is a nice restroom about in the middle with some water fountains and some port-o-potties in other places. There was a water bottle refill station by the visitors center and plenty of restrooms. They have some snacks, beverages, and even salads to purchase, but we planned ahead and brought our own snacks and beverages. Just plan on being outside, walking for quite some time. Remember to check the weather. Kyle loved the Canopy Walk and Emergent Tower. What a view! We also really enjoyed Buckeye Buds Adventure Woods. It was a long day, but it was an awesome day! We'll be back as everything changes throughout the seasons!

BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS!! Will absolutely return!! Highly recommend!! Worth the cost! The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. Family and pet friendly. The tower is worth the climb, you can do it, I believe in you!! (Pets are not allowed on the canopy walk or the tower.) There are endless paths to walk, beautiful gardens, many ponds. Plentiful parking. Tram tours available for an additional $10 a person. Many places for picnic lunches. Gift shop & restrooms in the visitor center.Spring is great for the gardens, summer is great for the butterflies, fall is great for the tower.We spent around 3.5 hours here (including our time in the visitor center), walked 3.8 miles, and still did not see all the paths/trails there are to see.

We visited in early spring, so things were just starting to bloom, and it wasn't too busy. There were no waits for the canopy or tower. They have miles of walking trails, and lots to see. We, packed a lunch, had a picnic, and some exercise. They also have trams, so those with mobility issues can also enjoy the park We highly recommend a visit.

Amazing place to hike, the tower and the walk up in the trees were our favorite, if you have kids this is a great place to get out and hike! This is one of my favorite spots in NE Ohio. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking during spring, summer & fall. It's open year round for hiking which is great. The staff is always friendly & helpful. The events are usually very cool & the Adventure woods are perfect for kids. Membership is worth the price if you love to be outdoors or take your kids outside. If you're a photographer this Membership is a must. The membership can also get you into other gardens across the U.S. & the Cleveland Botanical Garden.

Absolutely love Holden Arboretum. So well kept. Lots of trail options appropriate for all ages. The gardens are just beautiful. Currently they have Lego art on display. Very cool even for adults. I do recommend a membership which also includes the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Well worth the price.

Beautiful park with so many different things to see. This was our first time there, and didn't come close to seeing the entire place. The canopy walk and the observation tower were definitely worth seeing. There were a lot of people there, but we didn't have an issue with parking, and the park didn't feel crowded at all. Highly recommend checking it out. Also, the yearly membership pays for itself if you come back a second time within a year, so keep that in mind!

We had a very nice walk despite intermittent drizzle and rain. The canopy walk was excellent and several of our group enjoyed climbing the tower for a panoramic view of the fall colors.

A delightful place! I came on a Halloween weekend. The flowers were out of season, but the trees were in their full foliage glory, with every color of the autumn spectrum. It was a gray and rainy day, so there weren't any lines for the treetop walk or the emergent canopy tower. Everything was well-maintained, with plenty of trails to enjoy. If you're looking for nature, fresh air, and beautiful views, definitely swing by!

Great place, very peaceful and serene even with the number of people with plenty to see and enjoy. Also there are plenty of benches and places to relax and rest, which came in real handy for me. Well worth the 20 dollars to get in

Beautiful place. Great views. I was expecting more wildlife, but that's beyond the arboretum's control. They could, however, have more restroom facilities... While the ONE they did have was clean, it was entirely not enough for the bustling day full of patrons. We did see 2 mobile potties, but those were a HARD pass.

Such a beautiful place with soooo much to explore. Beautiful flowers, amazing trees, wildlife everywhere, and staff throughout the park to assist with any questions. Plus, there trail network is so extensive!

Not sure that middle-late September is the best time to visit an arboretum, but it worked out well for me. The crowd was minimal and I didn’t have to wait for any of the attractions. This place will be ablaze in fall color soon. The leaves are starting to give a nod to what is coming. It was also nice to see what perennials and shrubs still look good at this time of year. Notes taken for my own gardening plan and future purchases. Be prepared to walk! It’s a lot of acreage to cover!

Very nice long walk, make sure you have a phone, water and food. I like the observation tower but didn't make it to the top because of my two year old. I liked the canopy walk but it was very scary and it moves, creaks and groans. The park is big so expect to be here for awhile. I didn't get to see everything because I have a two year old who was getting grumpy. I love the bridges and the 🔵 berry 🫐 trail. Definitely recommend it to anyone

Such a beautiful visit to Holden Arboretum today. The Pollinator Express was such a great addition - with the trains and such beautiful planting and sculptures.Enjoyed the tranquility of this serene place.

Was able to get out and enjoy the 70 degree day! Paths were well tended. So thankful we have this living museum to enjoy just outside of Cleveland! Been members for years. Wonderful investment!

We had such a fantastic time and love this place. We came as we had the day off for the holiday and I'm so glad we did. Despite the heat the whole location is just beautiful. I'm so happy we were able to come during the lego sculptures. We loved walked the trail and finding them. We wish we would have know we could bring our dog, but next time. We decided after this visit to become members as we will definitely want to visit again. Beautiful place.

An honestly unimpressive walk that has been dwarfed by many hikes I've been on in the nearby area, that were not only better looking, but free.The fact it was $20 for what was a bad joke through the woods and a poor showing of flowers should make them ashamed.Really, only come here if you for some reason can't get into any of the Cleveland Metro parks or Cuyahoga valley national Park. It is a waste of time and money.

Everytime we visit Holden Arboretum we see something new. It is always exciting to see what that will be...new critters, insects, or new flowers , trees, or bushes. It is always a great adventure. We'll worth the drive. Enjoy!

Probably one of the nicest beaches in Ohio. Great place to watch the sunset, which by the way is the park’s closing time. Word of caution for swimmers, there is an intermittent under tow, Do not swim alone! Do your homework ahead of time on how to be safer in the water.

I had no idea Ohio had this big beach! And the surrounding park was delightful as well... plenty of parking, generous number of bathrooms, lighthouse.

I enjoyed a lovely few hours at The Eastern side of the Headlands Beach park in early September, a few days ago. We checked out both sides of the park, the western "big beach" and the eastern protected dunes/marsh. Had a picnic in the shade of the beautiful cottonwood trees before going out on the boardwalk to get to the sand. It was a longer walk than I expected for me with my walker, but a nice stroll for most people. I so wanted to take the right hand path to the lighthouse, but it's like a deer trail. Not for someone needing wheels! The beach was nice, but the deck with the binoculars no longer has it's overhead structure. I don't know why they took it down. Again beautiful day, and fun to watch families playing at the beach.After talking to some other visitors, we checked out the western main beachy area to see the three sand sculptures from the sand castle building contest beck in August. It's amazing they are still there. There is a blue tarp runway out towards the water for easier walking (or walkers line mine) but I didn't go all the way out. Looking forward to going back. I feel lucky to live near such a great beach and lake.

This was a huge beach! It has plenty of parking and had plenty of people.It was packed when we went. We were bummed out that we couldn't walk closer to the lighthouse .It was said that this is a great beach for beach combing and beach glass but we were very disappointed bc not much glass was found at all.

I spent my birthday 🎂 at the Headlands Beach. It was a nice day. The beach and surrounding areas were clean. The only problem that my sister and I had was walking 🚶‍♀️ in the sand to get close to the water. It was so loose and deep that it was very difficult to walk in. Also, it would have been a plus to have the snack bar open, especially on a weekend.

Very nice beach and picnic area.We returned on Good Friday 2022. A windy, dry and cloudy day. The Veach facilities are still closed for the season. The permanent bathrooms are all locked. Beach management has set out a few porta-potties in the parking lots for off-season comfort breaks/call of nature requirements.Nice day to visit the beach and collect stones and polished glass washed up over the winter. One hardy fellow was out in the waves kite-sailing.All-in-all a great day at the beach. No sunbathing yet.

I loved the walkway to the beach! The sans castles where still up which is impressive! This beach has sand and lovely areas to eat in the shade. It is a long walk to the beach so be prepared but the water is blue and the sand is pretty so if squint it almost looks like you're somewhere else. I enjoyed this beach. I'll be back

Headlands is my hometown beach. It’s a beautiful location and for the most part a lot of really nice people frequent this beach. One of the things that are a must see is the yearly sand sculptures contest. They stand for sometimes months after being built. It’s one of the coolest things to see up close and the artists are free to create whatever they like. One year there was a giant baby Trump. Definitely put it in your summer plans to see them if you can!The sand is meh… somewhat dirty… very harsh on your feet. Nothing like a nice Florida beach, that’s for sure but we are definitely blessed to have this one in our back yard none the less.

Great park. Nice size beach. Plenty of space to set up on the shore. Many picnic tables.There are really two main areas. The bird rehab area and the public beach area. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Mainly due to the bird area.There is a playground closer to the entrance.Water normally is pretty warm by late July. You do need to watch the waves and watch out for rip currents.Restrooms are fairly clean for being at the beach. Toilets flush.

Cold and rainy when I was there just to check it out. Beach had to be over 200 feet wide. Must have just cleaned the sand somehow because no trash or drift wood. Toward the west end there were piles of drift wood and some trash. My guess they just haven't gotten that far yet. Love to go back in the summer and check it out again.

Always a great Lake Erie beach, went for the kite fest this time- what a blast!

This is a nice place to visit and go for a walk or to go swimming. My girlfriend and I love to take our kids to swim and play. This is definitely a nice beach. And definitely a great place to have a picnic. There is public restrooms with changing areas. There is plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend stopping by if your in the area. This is also a good place to plan a day trip to have a fun day on the beach. And if you need a place to take your kids to burn off energy this is definitely a great place to visit.

Easy access from the parking lot to the beach. Restroom facilities relatively clean. Wasn't over crowded today. Sand is a little coarse and beach is a little rocky but other a good spot.

Why would you close the beach to the public?!! Tax payers deserve the right to be on that beach any day or time! Closing it cause you think it will get trashed makes the entire purpose useless!! Also there is enough money in the community and tax that you could hire a park service clean up if so!! It’s not that difficult to allow the public to enjoy their public beach!!!

We visited the Headlands Beach, State Park which is located on the shores of Lake Erie just East of Cleveland near Mentor, Ohio. It is the longest natural beach in the state and is the widest beach I've ever visited on Lake Erie. This beautiful sand and rock beach is adjacent to the Headlands Dunes State Nature Preserve and offers great views of the lake and Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Light. There is plenty of parking in the expansive parking lot with restroom / shower facilities. A great place to spend an afternoon on the beach, picnicking or hiking one of the numerous trails.

Beautiful place to come enjoy the waves from Lake Erie. Nicely manicured beach and clean grounds. Lots of parking and area to enjoy. Nice bathrooms are plentiful in the area. Love the lighthouse views and bird watching in the area as well!

It's a nice, big beach and I was looking forward to picking up some treasures. Unfortunately, water quality was POOR the day we visited and I could not take the chance on being exposed to bacteria. Happy to be able to get pictures in any case.

This is a beautiful beach park. No matter what you want to do, you can probably do it there. You can have a cook out, swim, walk a flat paved path, and it is also pet friendly. That is just the main part of the park You can walk in the connected Dunes preserve part of the park. It has beautiful views and is very peaceful. The whole park is peaceful, When I have a lot of stuff on my mind it is the perfect place to just chill, take in the beauty of the place and sort things out. Even in the fall and winter you can find peace and beauty there.

It's a lovely place to take your family on a summer afternoon. There is a very dedicated staff, that takes care of the park to make sure the guests have a safe and rewarding experience. It is a great place to make family memories that will last a lifetime.

Not as much selection as similar stores; however, the quality of their products is notable. Everything from homemade cheeses and meats to all kinds of interesting and tasty snacks. The lobby area is dedicated to cheese making and even has an amish horse and buggy.

It is a store with a little atrium that you can sit and eat a sandwich. It had a horse and buggy and some hand carved pieces in it. There is a window t where you could watch them make cheese but they were cleaning it when we were there which was pretty early. Everything was way over priced.

We went this past weekend. Still only one extremely, pricey, red wine available. This time you could buy it by the glass. It tasted a bit like vinegar. The attached picture is the line you had to stand in to buy a bottle of wine or to order food. Not a very good set up for such a beautiful place. It took 15-25 minutes to get through it.

One of our favorite wineries! Such a beautiful venue indoors and out with great wine. We had some delicious appys including meatballs, truffle fries and a pepperoni flatbread!

Excellent atmosphere and views. Food is great and wines choice is perfect.

My first time here to celebrate the end of the school year with some co workers. A beautiful venue. While I don't drink wine, my friends said the wine was good. I'd definitely come back when the leaves change color.

The ambiance was wonderful. The prices were extremely high and the wine left us for wanting. I had the estate Cabernet Sauvignon which was flat with no finish what so ever. My wife has the estate Riesling which again was flat with no finish. Was hoping more from Ohio's wine country.

Arrived 17min prior to closing to purchase wine. A middle aged woman at the bar ordered a glass a wine and after her service was provided we were simply addressed with “ sorry we are closing” clearly implying our patronage was not welcome. Note we were well dressed, polite and sober. Beautiful winery, though it did have a strong aroma of fertilizer outside. Doubt we will make the trip to re-visit.

My wife and I are from the area and were hosting my sister and brother-in-law from out of town. We wanted to try something new and stumbled upon Laurentia Winery. The property is stunning with a long entryway drive up to the main building. The grounds were beautifully kept and very inviting. The staff we encountered were very welcoming and accommodating as we originally asked to sit outside but changed our minds due to the chilly weather. I'm not a wine aficionado by any means, so all I can say is that what I ordered was pleasant. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the mains and through the dessert. The atmosphere was very cozy and pleasurable. We would certainly recommend and will definitely be back.

Went to this winery as part of my girls trip and this was absolutely our favorite. It was so beautiful and the service was amazing. Mark was very nice and a pleasure to talk to as was the rest of the staff. He went table to table and talked with all the guests, and it made our experience seem very personable. I cannot wait to come back in the summer and fall times to experience it with warmer weather and a different scene. I will be telling all of my friends and family to go visit!!

Such a beautiful winery! It is off the beaten path but so worth it. The food was honestly better than a 5-star restaurant. The property is beautiful with vineyards all around and a lake out back. The interior has a cabin feel to it but they have a private library downstairs for booking as well. We visited on a cold rainy day but it was still such a good time. Staff is so friendly and took us downstairs to the wine cellar for a quick tour and explained all about the winery! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone coming to this area! We were visiting from SC but have done a lot of the other wineries in the area and this one was by far the best. We’re planning to come back in the summer to see the outdoor area!Food is well priced for what you get. You can’t go wrong with the meat and cheese board. It has plenty of everything for everyone. The baked Brie came with bread and was topped with nuts and honey. The pork osso fell off the bone and was a really large portion size. The mushroom ravioli was also fantastic. We got the unoaked Chardonnay which was recommended to us by the staff. I usually am a Pino Grigio person but that Chardonnay was one of the best I’ve had! Once again everything was so worth the price because of the flavors and portion sizes!

I thought the place was absolutely gorgeous, everything was stunning, live music made it 10x better, but I don’t think I will ever be coming back, Just because of the food. Everything for the price was outrageous. It was slimy and looks like they took the meat right out of the can and served it to us. The best thing they had was the flat bread pizza and how can you mess that up. I think they worked so hard on make it look pretty that they for got they needed to put flavor into the food, because personally I come from to eat the food not to sit there and spend over 100+ dollars to leave and say at least it was pretty!

The wife and I visited this winery for the first time this past weekend and I must say we were blown away with the atmosphere, property and of course the award winning wine; but most of all the food!! You wouldn’t think a winery would have delicious food but everything we ate was delicious. The flat breads, bocconcini bread, salmon, ravioli.. we ate here 3 times and didn’t have a bad meal. The wines were delicious, especially Estate Y Trellis Cabernet Franc and Estate Craton. The hosts are very kind and informative, we cannot wait to go back!

A winery that has vineyards on this large property with lake; has indoor/ outdoor seating. The food menu is more expansive than most wineries (see photos). The food was 8/10. The wines were 5-8/10 in this order: sweet Riesling > rosé > dry Riesling > Pinot Grigio.

We have been back a few time and each time is as wonderful as the last.In an area full of wineries, Laurentia offers a little bit of everything. The atmosphere is wonderful…inside and outside. The views while outside are amazing with view of the grapes, pond and more. Inside has a rustic upscale feel. Ordering is easy and the staff helps guide you.My only complaint (I get the reason) is the wine offerings for members only. I get the purpose is to get you into the club, but I wish I could at least try them.The menu has a little bit of everything, from food to wine. As a dry red fan, they have great choices, even in the hot summer. Food is amazing and prepared in an open kitchen. Flatbreads, cheese, meets, breads, deserts…delicious. A relaxing lunch with great views can be had at Laurentia Vineyard.

Beautiful atmosphere! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My family had a great time celebrating their birthdays there.

Beautiful location, the dessert board was delicious, their one sweet wine was good. The view was very pretty.

The venue and atmosphere are amazing l. They had live music when we were there and the guy was so good. Great wine friendly staff. A bit pricey.

Place was beautiful and looked very promising. The group ahead of us was taken and the lady just looked at us as she took them to the bar. Other workers were obviously talking about our group because they were looking at us while standing in the kitchen. The restaurant was practically empty, only having two groups, so you would think we wouldn’t have to wait 11 minutes to get served before leaving. Don’t go here if you actually want to sit down.
