What is the Interaction Menu in GTA 5 Online?
The GTA 5 Interaction Menu in GTA Online & Story Mode is a special menu system that gives plenty of useful options and features to the player.
In GTA Online, the Interaction Menu allows you to set quick Waypoints, access the Inventory, replenish your Health, Body Armor, and Ammo, equip Accessories, use dozens of Vehicle Options, keep track of Daily Objectives and Collectibles, Enable Passive Mode, and much more.
How to open the Interaction Menu in GTA 5 Online on PS4, Xbox, PC
Below you find the instructions on how to open and access the GTA 5 Interaction Menu on all available platforms.
The Interaction Menu in both GTA Online and Story Mode can be opened with the following controls:
- The Interaction Menu on PC can be accessed by pressing the "M" key on your keyboard.
- The Interaction Menu on both PS4 and PS5 can be accessed by pressing and holding the "Touchpad".
- The Interaction Menu on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S be accessed by pressing and holding the "View" button.
- The Interaction Menu on the PlayStation 3 can be accessed by pressing and holding the "Select" button.
- The Interaction Menu on the Xbox 360 can be accessed by pressing and holding the "Back" button.
When opened, the Interaction Menu appears in the upper left corner of the screen.

Invite to Property
If you're currently in one of your Properties (such as Apartments, Offices, Clubhouse, etc.), with this option you can quickly invite other players to your Property.
Quick GPS
Select to place your waypoint at a set location (on the GPS).

Register as A Boss
Become a CEO of your own Organization, or the President of your own Motorcycle Club.

Health & Ammo
Buy or use carried items such as snacks, ammo, and armor.

| Body Armor | Use any of the stored body armor you have purchased to refill your armor bar. Appearance
In the appearance section of the GTA 5 Interaction Menu, you can change player style such as accessories, clothing, actions, and more.

| Accessories | Cycle between the accessories and gears you have available to change your look. |
| Parachute | Contains options that allow you to change your parachute appearance. |
| Outfit | Select a saved outfit to wear, among your 20 saved custom outfits. |
| Stunt Racing Outfit | Select a saved outfit to wear during races. |
| Bike Helmet | Set an owned helmet to equip when riding in free mode and races. |
| Helmet Visor | Have the visor down for certain helmets. Options: Visor Up | Visor Down |
| Auto Equip Bike Helmet | Sets whether or not a helmet is automatically put on when using a bike. Options: On | Off |
| Auto Equip Aircraft Helmet | Sets whether or not a helmet is automatically put on when using an aircraft. Options: On | Off |
| Illuminated Clothing | Set the type of glow applied to illuminated clothing items. Options: On | Flash | Pulse | Off |
| Hood | You are able to set your character's hood style while wearing certain hoods. Options: Up | Down |

| Action | Cycles through the Character Actions menu to be stored as your Quickplay Action. Press or hold the Quickplay Action button to alter how you will perform this action. |

| Voice Chat | Set voice chat preferences (who you can hear and who can hear you) in Free Mode. Does not affect mission chat. |

Impromptu Race
Allows the player to host an impromptu race against other players in the Freemode session.

Enable / Disable Passive Mode
The GTA 5 Interaction Menu allows you to enable or disable Passive Mode. Passive Mode prevents physical contact with other players and some Freemode activities.
Passive Mode is disabled in Weaponized Vehicles.
NOTE:While the 'Kill Yourself' option has been removed from the Interaction Menu, it is still accessiblefrom the Pause Menu, under "Online > Options" (see below).
GTA Online Pause Menu Options
In addition to the GTA 5 Interaction Menu, GTA Online also has the following options available from the Pause Menu, under "Online > Options":
| Enable Passive Mode | Turn on Passive Mode to prevent damage between you and other players. |
| Quickplay Action (on Foot) | Select the Quickplay Action you will play when one foot. |
| Quickplay Action (Vehicle) | Select the Quickplay Action you will play when using a vehicle. |
| Joint Celebration | Select your Joint Celebration action. |
| Player Mood (Normal) | Select your mood. |
| Player Mood (Race) | Select your mood for Races. |
| Player Mood (Deathmatch) | Select your mood for Deathmatches. |
| Join Next Mode from Spectator Box | Select to join the next available mode or remain in Spectator Box. |
| Allow Spectators | Select your spectator preference. |
| Matchmaking | Determines whether a player can use Quick Job to join a Job that you are hosting. |
| Spawn Location | Select your spawn location for the next time you enter GTA Online. |

GTA 5 Interaction Menu: Options in Story Mode
A very simplified version of the GTA 5 Interaction Menu is also available in the Story Mode of Grand Theft Auto V.
The GTA 5 Interaction Menu in Story Mode includes the ability to place quick GPS markers, select clothing accessories, view recent mission objectives and help messages.
